CAT 102-2075 is a Caterpillar single-row deep groove ball bearing, suitable for the input/intermediate shafts of gearboxes and transfer cases in loaders, excavators, and other equipment. It is used to withstand radial loads and compensate for minor coaxiality deviations. The following is structured professional information from Cat® Parts.
Core Parameters (Professional Version)
Item Details
Basic Attributes Model 102-2075, Single-row deep groove ball bearing, with stamped cage and double-sided metal dust cover, 1–2 pieces per unit, suitable for gearbox input shaft/intermediate shaft support, for radial load bearing + slight angular compensation, anti-mud intrusion design
Key Dimensions Inner diameter 40 mm, outer diameter 80 mm, width 18 mm, ball diameter 7.938 mm, quantity 12, cage diameter 60 mm, dust cover thickness 1.2 mm, assembly clearance 0.01–0.025 mm
Material and Process The bearing rings/balls are made of SUJ2 bearing steel, surface hardened to HRC60–64, the cage is made of SPCC cold-rolled steel, the dust cover is made of tin-plated steel plate, the raceway roughness of the bearing rings Ra≤0.4 μm, the roundness of the balls ≤0.001 mm
Performance Parameters Radial rated dynamic load ≈22.5 Radial rated static load ≈ 15.2 kN, limiting speed (grease lubrication) ≤ 7500 rpm, operating temperature -40℃ to +120℃, permissible angular deviation ≤ 2°, axial load ≤ 2.5 kN. Compatible models: Cat 938/950 loaders, 312/315 excavator gearboxes; compatible shaft diameter 40 mm; matching seal model 102-2076. Installation and maintenance points: Clean the journal and bearing housing bore before installation. Journal surface hardness ≥ HRC58, roughness Ra ≤ 0.8 μm, housing bore roundness ≤ 0.01 mm, free of burrs and rust.
Cold press assembly: Use a special tooling to press evenly, avoiding ring tilting or steel ball damage. Ensure the dust cover fits snugly against the shaft/housing bore. Do not strike the outer ring.
After assembly, check that the radial runout is ≤0.02 mm, and fill with Cat 106-9900 grease (1/3–1/2 of the bearing cavity volume). Ensure the dust cover edges are not deformed.
Check the bearing temperature and for abnormal noise every 1000 hours. Replace the bearing immediately if pitting, peeling, or other abnormalities are found to prevent shaft jamming or accelerated wear.
