Installation and Welding Points: Before installation, clean the surfaces of the welding base and pusharm support to remove oil, rust, and scale. Ensure the welding surface is free of impurities. Measure the trunnion spherical diameter and the support bore diameter to ensure they meet the interference fit requirements.

The root pass is performed using argon arc welding (ER80S-G welding wire, 2.4 mm diameter), followed by carbon dioxide gas shielded welding (E7018 welding wire, 3.2 mm diameter). The welding current is 180-220 A, the voltage is 24-28 V, and the welding speed is 150-200 mm/min.

Segmented symmetrical welding is employed during the welding process, controlling the interpass temperature to ≤200℃ to prevent welding deformation. Post-weld stress-relief annealing is performed (temperature 600-650℃, holding for 2 hours, followed by furnace cooling).

After welding, the spherical roundness is checked to be ≤0.03 mm, the coaxiality to be ≤0.05 mm, and there should be no cracks, porosity, or other defects. The surface is then ground to a roughness Ra ≤0.8 μm.
