Structural and Performance Advantages
Low Friction and Wear Resistance: Made of phosphorus-reinforced bronze alloy with built-in axial oil grooves, it features a low coefficient of friction under oil lubrication, suitable for continuous engine operation. Component life is approximately 60% longer than ordinary carbon steel sleeve bearings.
Precise Positioning: High-precision dimensional tolerances and cylindricity ensure no radial offset after press-fitting, guaranteeing shaft transmission accuracy, reducing movement deviations in valve mechanisms or camshafts, and improving engine operating stability.
Suitable for Vibration Conditions: The bronze material has excellent vibration damping properties, absorbing engine vibrations and preventing impact wear between shafts and bearings. The oil groove design ensures even distribution of lubricating oil, preventing localized dry friction.
High Versatility: Compatible with key shaft components of various Cat engines, requiring no additional custom installation tools, facilitating maintenance and replacement, and reducing inventory and maintenance costs.
Installation and Maintenance Points
**Before installation, clean the bearing bore and bearing surface, checking for burrs and scratches.** Use a dedicated pressing tool to press the bearing vertically, avoiding tilting which could deform or seize it. Control the pressing force to 8-10 kN. After pressing, check the fit clearance to ensure it is within the specified range.
Every 1000 hours of maintenance, check the bearing lubrication status, confirming that the oil groove is not blocked and that there is no abnormal noise during shaft operation. Replace the bearing immediately if it shows wear, scratches, or excessive clearance to prevent shaft jamming and engine failure.
Prioritize genuine parts. Aftermarket parts must have guaranteed material composition and dimensional accuracy. Inferior bearings may experience premature wear due to insufficient wear resistance, affecting the normal operation of the engine transmission system.
