CAT 5P-3419 is a dedicated inner race for Caterpillar single-row needle roller bearings. It is compatible with needle roller bearings in the slewing mechanism and travel reducer of Cat 320, 330 and other excavators. It is used to form a complete raceway with the needle roller assembly, bear radial loads and protect the journal. It is a key wear-resistant component in heavy-duty transmission systems. The following is structured technical and application information:

Core Technical Parameters

Item Details
Basic Attributes
Model 5P-3419, Type: Needle Roller Bearing Inner Ring, Material: High Carbon Chromium Bearing Steel (GCr15, Quenched HRC60-64), Single Weight: Approx. 0.28 kg, Applicable Temperature: -40℃ to +120℃, Compatible Needle Roller Bearing 3054906, Mounting Method: Journal Interference Fit (Interference 0.015-0.025 mm), Surface Treatment: Grinding and Polishing, Matching Seal Ring: 437-2808

Key Dimensions
Inner Diameter: 45 mm (Tolerance k6, +0.018/+0.002 mm), Raceway Diameter: 52 mm (Tolerance ±0.012 mm), Width: 38 mm (Tolerance ±0.05 mm), Wall Thickness: 3.5 mm, Raceway Curvature Radius: 2.5 mm (Tolerance ±0.02 mm), Chamfer at Both Ends: r=1 mm (Tolerance…) ±0.10 mm), surface roughness Ra≤0.4 μm, cylindricity≤0.003 mm
Compatible Models and Applications: Compatible with Cat 320GC/330GC excavator slewing platform needle roller bearings and 950GC loader front axle reducer needle roller bearings, used for rolling contact between journal and needle rollers, bearing radial load ≤280 kN, permissible speed ≤300 rpm
Performance Parameters: Raceway hardness HRC62-64, hardened layer depth 1.2-1.5 mm, contact fatigue life ≥10⁶ cycles, wear resistance conforms to ISO 683-17 standard, impact load ≥500 kN, coefficient of thermal expansion 11.5×10⁻⁶/℃, radial runout ≤0.005 mm
Structural and Performance Advantages: High-hardness raceway design: GCr15 bearing steel is quenched, achieving a raceway hardness of… HRC62-64 features a uniform hardened layer depth, offering approximately three times the contact fatigue life compared to ordinary carbon steel inner bearings, making it suitable for heavy-duty impact applications.

Precision Dimensional Control: Strict tolerances for inner diameter, raceway diameter, and cylindricity ensure precise fit with the journal and needle roller assembly, reducing vibration and noise during operation and minimizing wear on the needle rollers and bearing race.

Optimized Chamfer Design: A 1 mm chamfer at both ends facilitates guidance of the needle roller assembly during installation, preventing scratches from the needle roller ends on the bearing race and journal, and preventing stress concentration-induced cracks.

High Adaptability: Specifically designed for Cat needle roller bearing 3054906, requiring no modifications to the mounting structure. Replacement is synchronized with the needle roller assembly during maintenance, ensuring the stability of the transmission system.

Installation and Maintenance Points
**Before installation, clean the inner race and journal. Cool the inner race with liquid nitrogen (cooling temperature -196℃, cooling time 15-20 minutes) and then quickly press it in. After pressing, check that the fit between the race end face and the shaft shoulder is ≤0.02 mm, and the raceway roundness is ≤0.005 mm.

Every 2000 hours of maintenance, check the raceway wear of the inner race. The raceway surface should have no obvious scratches, peeling, or dents; otherwise, replace it immediately. Simultaneously check the journal wear. If the journal diameter wear is >0.03 mm, the journal needs to be repaired or replaced.

Prioritize original parts. Aftermarket parts must match the material hardness and dimensional accuracy. Inferior inner races can easily cause needle roller jamming, journal wear, and lead to abnormal noise or even failure of the transmission system.
