CAT 307-1529 GD is a Caterpillar GD series steel-backed bronze sintered sleeve bearing (oil-free self-lubricating type). It is mainly used in the hinge pins, connecting rod bushings and other parts of excavators, loaders and other equipment. It bears radial loads and provides low-friction sliding support. It is suitable for medium and low speed and medium load conditions. It is especially suitable for oscillating or reciprocating motion under heavy load and impact conditions. It is a key wear-resistant Cat® Parts in the hinge parts of equipment. The following is structured technical and application information:
Core Technical Parameters
Item Details
Basic Attributes
Model 307-1529 GD, Type: Steel-backed bronze sleeve bearing (self-lubricating, with oil reservoir), Material: Steel back + bronze sintered layer + PTFE self-lubricating film, Single weight: approximately 0.42 kg, Suitable temperature: -30℃ to +150℃, Surface treatment: None (relies on self-lubrication + rust-preventive oil), Mounting method: Interference fit + end face positioning
Key Dimensions
Inner diameter: 50 mm (tolerance H7, 50.000-50.025 mm), Outer diameter: 60 mm (tolerance g6, 59.980-59.995 mm), Length: 35 mm (tolerance ±0.15 mm), Wall thickness: 5 mm, Inner bore surface oil reservoir (3 axial + 1 circumferential), Fitting shaft diameter: 50 mm (tolerance k6), Mounting hole diameter: 60 mm (tolerance…) H7)
Compatible Models and Parts: Compatible with Cat 307E/308E excavator stick pin bushings, 906H loader bucket linkage bushings, and 420F2 bulldozer steering tie rod hinge bushings. One piece per pin, used to bear pure radial loads, suitable for swing angles ≤ ±30° and linear speeds ≤ 0.5 m/s.
Performance Parameters: Load capacity (static) 180 MPa, (dynamic) 120 MPa; Coefficient of friction (dry) 0.12-0.18, (oil lubrication) 0.08-0.10; Wear life ≥ 8000 hours (under rated load); suitable for mineral oil, extreme pressure grease, and other lubricating media; can work stably under dust and impact conditions.
Structural and Performance Advantages:
Composite material wear resistance: The steel back provides high strength and rigidity, the bronze sintered layer bears and stores oil, and the PTFE self-lubricating film reduces friction, suitable for oil-free or boundary lubrication conditions, reducing jamming and wear Cat® Parts. Oil reservoir design: An axial and circumferential oil reservoir within the inner bore stores lubricating medium, ensuring lubrication even during intermittent lubrication or short-term oil shortages, thus extending service life.
Stable interference fit: The outer diameter tolerance g6 matches the mounting hole H7, with an interference fit of 0.005-0.045 mm, ensuring no looseness after installation and guaranteeing positioning accuracy and operational stability.
Suitable for impact conditions: The bronze material has good toughness, absorbing impact loads and preventing brittle fracture, making it suitable for engineering machinery operating under frequent start-stop and impact load environments.
Installation and maintenance points: Before installation, clean the shaft and mounting hole, removing burrs and oil stains. Check the bearing inner bore for damage and ensure the self-lubricating film is intact. Use the cold pressing method (using a special sleeve) for installation, ensuring the end face fits snugly against the mounting surface without misalignment, and the interference fit meets requirements.
Lubrication Adaptation: After initial installation, apply extreme pressure lithium-based grease (e.g., Cat 2V-9130). Replenish lubricate every 500 hours, filling the bearing clearance to half its capacity each time. Avoid over-lubrication to prevent seal damage.
Maintenance Every 1000 Hours: Check bearing clearance (replace if ≥0.2 mm) and surface wear (replace if depth >0.3 mm). If abnormal noise, jamming, or oil leakage occurs, replace immediately to prevent wear between the pin and bearing housing.
Prioritize genuine parts. Aftermarket parts may have issues such as material delamination and dimensional deviations, easily leading to premature wear, excessive clearance, and other malfunctions.
