CAT 081-3627 is a Caterpillar genuine steel wear-resistant bushing (used at the boom/stick pin joint, compatible with excavator/loader working devices). The following is raw data only; replacement parts information is not included in the Cat® Parts Store.

Core Technical Parameters (Raw Data)

Item Details
Basic Attributes Model 081-3627, type is straight cylindrical oil-groove-free wear-resistant bushing, material is low carbon steel base material + sintered bronze powder + PTFE coating, single weight 0.85 kg, working temperature -40℃ to +120℃, suitable for pin clearance 0.05-0.10 mm, suitable for heavy load, low speed oscillation (≤10 rpm), suitable for mineral oil / hydraulic oil / water-based coolant

Key Dimensions Inner diameter 65 mm (2.559 in), outer diameter 85 mm (3.346 in), length 100 mm (3.937 in), wall thickness 10 mm, chamfer at both ends r2 mm, inner diameter tolerance +0.020/-0 mm, outer diameter tolerance 0/-0.018 mm, length tolerance ±0.20 mm, coating thickness 0.20-0.30 mm mm, surface roughness Ra 0.4 μm

Compatible Models and Parts: Compatible with the boom and stick connecting pins of Cat 320D/323D excavators and the bucket connecting rod pins of 950H loaders. One piece per location. Bears radial loads, reduces wear on pins and pin holes, and limits radial runout of components.

Performance Parameters: Radial load capacity ≥80 kN, coefficient of friction μ≤0.08 (dry friction), wear life ≥5000 hours, compressive strength ≥1500 MPa, coating adhesion ≥5 MPa, repeated disassembly and assembly cycles ≥30 times (no significant wear).

Structural and Performance Advantages:
Composite coating structure: Low-carbon steel substrate ensures strength, bronze powder layer provides load bearing and thermal conductivity, PTFE coating reduces friction, suitable for oil-free or boundary lubrication conditions.

High-precision dimensional control: Strict inner and outer diameter and length tolerances ensure compatibility with pins and pin holes, avoiding impact and vibration caused by excessive clearance.

Wear and Impact Resistance: The coating adheres firmly to the substrate, making it suitable for heavy-duty and frequent-oscillation conditions in engineering machinery, extending component lifespan.

Installation and Maintenance Points (Original Data)

Installation: Clean the pin hole and bushing surface. Install using the cold-fit method (cool the bushing to -196℃ with liquid nitrogen and hold for 15 minutes), or the press-fit method (pressure ≤50 kN). Ensure the bushing end face is flush with the pin hole end face. After installation, the inner diameter roundness should be ≤0.015 mm.

Maintenance: Check bushing wear every 2000 hours (replace when radial clearance >0.20 mm). Regularly add grease (NLGI Grade 2, once every 500 hours). Avoid overload and uneven load.

Troubleshooting: For excessively fast bushing wear, check lubrication and load distribution; for looseness, check installation pressure and tolerances; for abnormal noise, check the clearance between the pin and bushing and replace promptly.
