CAT 1T-0445 is a genuine Caterpillar torque converter carrier sleeve, adapted for positioning and supporting the torque converter carrier shaft of Cat D6G and D6H bulldozers and some 320 series excavators. It is used for radial positioning, axial limiting, and torque transmission. The following is pure raw data and does not include information on replacement parts.

Core Technical Parameters (Raw Data)

Item Details
Basic Attributes
Model: 1T-0445; Type: Straight cylindrical positioning bushing (integral seamless structure); Material: Medium carbon alloy steel (40Cr, quenched and tempered, hardness HB240-280); Surface treatment: Oxidation blackening (rust prevention grade ISO 12944-5 C2); Single weight: 0.28 kg; Applicable shaft diameter: φ42 mm; Rated radial load: ≥45 kN; Limiting speed: 2000 rpm; Working temperature: -25℃ to +110℃; Assembly clearance: 0.010-0.020 mm; Protection grade: IP54

Key Dimensions
Overall length: 78 mm (tolerance ±0.15 mm); Inner diameter: φ42 mm (tolerance +0.005/+0.001 mm); Outer diameter: φ50 mm (tolerance 0/-0.012 mm); Wall thickness: 4 mm (tolerance ±0.05 mm); Positioning step diameter: φ55 mm (tolerance 0/-0.020 mm), step height 8 mm (tolerance ±0.10 mm), cylindricity ≤0.010 mm, roundness ≤0.005 mm, surface roughness Ra≤0.8 μm

Performance Parameters: Tensile strength ≥980 MPa, yield strength ≥780 MPa, elongation at break ≥15%, impact toughness ≥50 J/cm², fatigue strength ≥480 MPa, coefficient of friction ≤0.18 (with shaft), bending deformation ≤0.06 mm (under 8 kN load), oil resistance (compatible with hydraulic oil ISO VG46)

Structural and Performance Advantages:

40Cr tempered material: Balances strength and toughness, suitable for dynamic loads and impact conditions of torque converter guide shafts; blackening oxidation treatment enhances rust resistance.

Seamless overall structure: No welding or splicing seams, avoiding stress concentration and ensuring structural stability during high-speed rotation.

High-precision dimensional control: Inner diameter tolerance +0.005/+0.001 mm, cylindricity ≤0.010 mm, ensuring precise interference fit with the guide wheel shaft and reducing operational vibration and noise.

Strong adaptability: Compatible with the hydraulic torque converter guide wheel shafts of Cat D6G, D6H bulldozers and 320 series excavators, and compatible with spur gear transmission systems.

Installation and maintenance points (original data)

Installation: Clean the inner diameter of the bushing and the surface of the guide wheel shaft (free from oil, rust, and scratches). Use cold-press assembly (pressing force 30-35 kN, pressing speed ≤4 mm/s). The gap between the positioning step and the end face of the torque converter housing should be ≤0.04 mm, and the coaxiality error ≤0.02 mm. After installation, check the bushing’s rotational flexibility (no jamming or abnormal noise). Maintenance: Check assembly clearance every 1500 hours (replace if exceeding 0.04 mm), check surface wear every 2000 hours (replace if wear > 0.08 mm), avoid prolonged overload (load exceeding 1.2 times the rated value easily leads to bushing fatigue damage), and change hydraulic oil regularly (to prevent oil contamination from accelerating bushing wear).

Troubleshooting: Bushing wear is often due to poor lubrication or abnormal fit clearance; replace the bushing and replenish hydraulic oil. Abnormal noise is often due to excessive clearance between the bushing and shaft; replace the bushing and assemble according to the standard clearance. Deformation is often due to excessive impact load; the entire bushing needs to be replaced and the torque converter’s operating condition checked.
