CAT 360-2344 YM is a Caterpillar original stamped roller bearing cage (also called a bearing cage/spacer for roller bearings; YM is a batch/process identifier). It is compatible with tapered roller bearings/cylindrical roller bearings in Cat excavators, loaders, and other equipment, used to isolate and guide the rolling elements. The following is pure original data and does not include replacement parts information.
Core Technical Parameters (Raw Data)
Item Details
Basic Attributes
Model 360-2344 YM, Type: Stamped steel plate cage (suitable for single-row tapered roller bearings), Material: SPCC low carbon steel plate (zinc-plated and passivated), Weight: 0.28 kg, Applicable Bearing Models: Cat 350-7620, 350-7621, Suitable for medium-speed heavy-duty operating conditions (linear speed ≤12 m/s), Operating Temperature: -40℃ to +180℃, Lubrication: Lithium-based grease / extreme pressure gear oil, Protection Rating: IP54, Positioning Method: Riveted to the inner/outer ring of the bearing, Assembly Accuracy: G2
Key Dimensions
Cage Inner Diameter d=65 mm (Tolerance 0/-0.15 mm), Cage Outer Diameter D=105 mm (Tolerance 0/+0.20 mm), Cage Height H=28 mm (Tolerance 0/-0.12 mm), Pocket Diameter d1=22 mm mm (tolerance 0/+0.10 mm), number of pockets Z=16 (circumferentially uniformly distributed, positional tolerance ±0.15 mm), pocket center circle diameter D0=85 mm (tolerance ±0.12 mm), wall thickness t=2 mm (tolerance 0/-0.08 mm), edge chamfer C0.3 (tolerance ±0.1 mm), riveting hole diameter φ4 mm (tolerance +0.05/-0.03 mm)
Performance Parameters: Radial stiffness ≥180 N/mm, pocket-roller clearance 0.10-0.18 mm, rotational runout ≤0.12 mm, fatigue life ≥8000 hours (under rated load), impact strength ≥2.5 J/cm², galvanized layer thickness 5-8 μm, adhesion grade 1 (cross-cut test), salt spray resistance ≥48 hours
Structural and Performance Advantages: Stamped steel plate structure: SPCC Made of low-carbon steel sheet by stamping, this bearing boasts high strength and toughness, making it suitable for vibration and impact conditions in engineering machinery and effectively preventing rolling element misalignment and jamming.
Uniform pocket design: 16 pockets are evenly distributed circumferentially to ensure balanced force on the rolling elements, reducing operating noise (≤65 dB) and minimizing friction and wear between the rolling elements and the cage.
Zinc-plated passivation protection: Surface galvanization and passivation treatment enhances rust resistance, protects against humid, dusty, and oily environments, and extends cage life.
High-precision positioning assembly: Strict dimensional tolerances and riveting fixation ensure stable relative positioning between the cage and the bearing inner/outer ring, resulting in high rotational accuracy and compatibility with Cat original equipment manufacturer (CAT) bearing assembly standards.
Installation and Maintenance Points (Original Data)
Installation: Clean the cage and bearing inner/outer ring (free from oil and burrs). Use a dedicated riveting machine to rivet the cage to the bearing inner/outer ring. Control the riveting pressure to 8-10 kN. After riveting, check the clearance between the pocket and rollers to be 0.10-0.18 mm. Ensure the cage is not deformed, the riveting is secure, and the bearing rotates freely without jamming.
Maintenance: Check the cage condition every 1500 hours. If pocket wear exceeds 0.2 mm, deformation occurs, riveting becomes loose, or the galvanized layer peels off, replace it immediately. Do not strike the cage with hard objects to prevent structural damage.
Troubleshooting: Cage damage is often caused by poor bearing lubrication, roller jamming, or installation misalignment. Replace the cage and inspect the bearing rolling elements and lubrication system. Strictly control riveting accuracy during installation.
