CAT 214-2294 is a Caterpillar genuine single-row cylindrical roller bearing (including inner ring, outer ring, cage, and roller assembly, suitable for medium and heavy-duty equipment drive systems), used in the gearboxes, drive axles, or hydraulic pumps of excavators and loaders. The following is pure raw data and does not include replacement parts information.

Core Technical Parameters (Raw Data)

Item Details
Basic Attributes
Model 214-2294, Type: Single-row cylindrical roller bearing (separable inner ring, NJ type), Material: Inner ring / Outer ring / Roller: SAE 52100 carburized alloy steel, Cage: Brass (H62), Weight: 1.85 kg, Applicable Operating Conditions: Medium-speed heavy load (linear speed ≤18 m/s), Operating Temperature: -40℃ to +180℃, Lubrication: Extreme pressure lithium-based grease / gear oil, Protection Class: IP54, Accuracy Class: P6, Clearance Class: C3, Rated Life: L10≥10000 hours (under rated load)

Key Dimensions (Metric)
Inner Diameter: d=70 mm (tolerance 0/-0.015 mm), Outer Diameter: D=125 mm (tolerance 0/+0.020 mm), Width: B=31 mm (tolerance 0/-0.12 mm), Roller Diameter: d1 = 15 mm (tolerance 0/+0.08 mm), roller length l = 25 mm (tolerance 0/-0.05 mm), number of rollers Z = 16, pocket center circle diameter D0 = 97.5 mm (tolerance ±0.12 mm), chamfer C1.5 (tolerance ±0.1 mm), inner ring flange height h = 5 mm (tolerance 0/-0.05 mm)

Performance parameters: Radial rated dynamic load Cr = 112 kN, radial rated static load C0r = 128 kN, axial rated dynamic load Ca = 22 kN (unidirectional, dependent on inner ring flange), axial rated static load C0a = 28 kN, limiting speed (grease lubrication) 3800 rpm, reference speed (oil lubrication) 4800 rpm, initial radial clearance 0.15-0.22 mm, coefficient of friction μ ≤ 0.002, impact resistance ≥ 3.0 J/cm², Inner ring runout ≤0.08 mm, Outer ring runout ≤0.06 mm Structural and Performance Advantages

Separable Inner Ring Design: Facilitates assembly and maintenance, suitable for transmission components requiring axial positioning, and allows for individual replacement of the inner ring, reducing maintenance costs.

Brass Cage: Made of H62 brass, high strength and good thermal conductivity, suitable for high-temperature conditions, with precise pocket clearance (0.12-0.18 mm), guiding the rollers to operate stably and reducing friction and wear.

Carburized Alloy Material: SAE 52100 carburized and quenched, surface hardness HRC 60-64, core hardness HRC 30-40, combining high wear resistance and impact resistance, suitable for vibration and impact conditions in engineering machinery.

C3 Clearance Design: Adapts to thermal expansion under high-temperature conditions, preventing bearing seizure while ensuring operational accuracy, and conforms to Cat original equipment manufacturer (CAT) assembly standards.

Installation and Maintenance Points (Original Data)

Installation: Clean the journal and bearing housing bore (free from oil and burrs). Hot-fit the inner ring (80-100℃), cold-fit the outer ring. Axial positioning should be achieved using the inner ring flange. After installation, check the radial clearance to be 0.15-0.22 mm. The bearing should rotate freely without jamming, and the coaxiality should be ≤0.02 mm.

Maintenance: Every 1500 hours, check the bearing temperature (≤85℃), noise (≤72 dB), and clearance. If the clearance exceeds 0.35 mm or if roller pitting or cage deformation occurs, replace the bearing immediately. For grease lubrication, replenish grease every 2000 hours (filling 1/3-1/2 of the bearing cavity).

Troubleshooting: Common faults include overheating and wear due to poor lubrication and uneven loading caused by installation misalignment. Replace the bearing and check the lubrication system and journal roundness (≤0.01 mm). Strictly control coaxiality and clearance during installation.
