Structure and Compatibility Characteristics
Elastic Positioning Function: The 65Mn spring steel material possesses high elasticity and toughness. After installation in the shaft groove, it generates radial preload, firmly fixing bearings, gears, and other components, preventing axial movement. It is suitable for Cat® Parts applications involving high-speed rotation and fluctuating loads in transmission systems.
Compact Design Advantages: The compact elastic retaining ring structure requires no additional fasteners, facilitating easy installation and disassembly, saving axial space, and is suitable for applications with limited internal space such as gearboxes and transfer cases.
Operating Condition Compatibility: Surface oxidation and blackening treatment enhances corrosion resistance, making it suitable for harsh environments such as dusty and humid conditions in construction machinery. It is resistant to rust and breakage over long-term use, ensuring stable operation of the transmission system.
Installation and Maintenance Points (Original Data)
Installation: Clean the shaft groove (free of oil and burrs). Use special retaining ring pliers to pry open the retaining ring and smoothly insert it into the shaft groove, ensuring the retaining ring is fully engaged at the bottom of the groove without tilting or loosening. After installation, check the fit between the retaining ring and the shaft shoulder; the axial clearance should be ≤0.05 mm.
Maintenance: Check the elasticity and deformation of the retaining ring every 1500 hours. If the deformation exceeds 0.3 mm or cracks appear, replace it. For long-term storage, apply anti-rust oil and avoid contact with acids and alkalis.
