CAT 369-1559 is a Caterpillar original equipment lower bushing, adapted for the boom/stick articulation of excavators. It reduces friction between the pin and the support, absorbs shock, and compensates for clearance. The following is raw data only; replacement parts information is not included. Cat®…

Item Details
Basic Attributes
Model 369-1559, Type: Integrated steel-backed composite lower bushing, Material: Steel back + copper-lead alloy layer + polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) anti-friction layer, Single weight: 0.98 kg, Suitable for swing friction conditions at articulated joints, Operating temperature: -40℃ to +120℃, Compatible with general-purpose lithium-based grease, Used for the lower hinge point of excavator boom and stick, absorbing impact and reducing pin wear.
Key Dimensions (Metric/Imperial)
Inner diameter: 50.0 mm (1.969 in, tolerance 0/-0.015 mm), Outer diameter: 65.0 mm (2.559 in, tolerance ±0.05 mm), Total length: 85.0 mm (3.346 in, tolerance ±0.10 mm), Steel back thickness: 3.0 mm, Alloy layer thickness: 1.5 mm, Anti-friction layer thickness: 0.2 mm, Chamfered ends 1.5×45°, pin fit tolerance h9, support fit tolerance H7
Performance Parameters: Steel backing tensile strength ≥500 MPa, alloy layer hardness HB 70-90, friction-reducing layer coefficient of friction ≤0.08, load-bearing capacity ≥180 MPa, wear life ≥5000 hours, suitable for swing angles ≤±30°, can withstand high-frequency impact loads, resistant to corrosion from hydraulic oil and grease in engineering machinery
Structure and Adaptability Characteristics:
Composite friction-reducing structure: The steel backing provides rigid support, the copper-lead alloy layer buffers impact, and the PTFE friction-reducing layer reduces the coefficient of friction, adapting to the swing friction of hinged parts, reducing wear on pins and supports, and extending component life (Cat®…).
Clearance Compensation Capability: The friction-reducing layer has a certain degree of elasticity, which can compensate for the assembly clearance between the pin and support, reducing impact and noise at hinged parts, and adapting to high-frequency swinging parts such as excavator booms and sticks.
Easy Installation: The integrated structure allows for cold-pressing into the support hole without additional fixing. After installation, grease is applied to ensure lubrication between the bushing and the pin, inhibiting premature wear caused by dry friction.
Installation and Maintenance Points (Original Data)
Installation: Clean the bushing and support hole (free of oil and metal shavings). Use a press to cold-press into the support hole with a pressing force ≤80 kN. Ensure the bushing end face is flush with the support hole surface, coaxiality ≤0.05 mm, and clearance with the pin 0.03-0.08 mm.
Maintenance: Check bushing wear and lubrication every 500 hours, adding grease (30±5 g filler). Replace immediately if bushing wear ≥1.0 mm or friction-reducing layer peels off. For long-term storage, apply rust-preventive oil and seal to prevent bushing corrosion.
