Installation Steps (Original Operating Procedure)
Preparation before installation: Clean the installation tools (9D-9470), bearings, and mounting holes, ensuring they are free of oil, rust, and burrs; check that the bearing model matches the mounting hole size, and that the clearance between the bearing inner ring and the mounting journal, and between the outer ring and the mounting hole, meets design requirements (typically inner ring clearance 0.01-0.03 mm, outer ring clearance 0.02-0.05 mm).
Prepare a press (hydraulic press recommended, pressure accuracy ±1 kN), dial indicator, cleaning cloth, and lubricating grease (lithium-based grease, used to apply to the contact surfaces of the installation tools and bearings).
Positioning and Installation
Place the 9D-9470 mounting sleeve onto the bearing inner ring, ensuring the sleeve’s positioning step is flush with the bearing inner ring end face. Avoid contact between the sleeve and the bearing outer ring, which could cause deformation due to stress.
Place the bearing and mounting sleeve together into the mounting hole. Adjust the coaxiality, using a dial indicator to check that the coaxiality tolerance is ≤0.03 mm.
Start the press and apply pressure at a uniform speed (1-2 mm/s) until the bearing end face is flush with the mounting hole end face. Control the pressure value at 30-40 kN; overpressure or impact loading is prohibited.
Post-Installation Inspection
Remove the mounting sleeve and check the bearing’s rotational flexibility. Ensure there is no jamming or abnormal noise. Use a dial indicator to check that the bearing’s radial runout is ≤0.05 mm and axial runout is ≤0.03 mm.
Clean the installation area, apply grease as required, assemble the relevant components, and complete the installation.

Do not use a hammer for installation to avoid damaging the bearing needle rollers and cage, leading to premature bearing failure.
During installation, ensure the installation tool, bearing, and mounting hole are coaxial. Excessive coaxiality will cause uneven bearing wear and shorten its service life.
Before installation, inspect the surface of the mounting sleeve for cracks, deformation, or other defects. If any defects are found, replace the tool to prevent tool breakage and damage to the bearing and equipment during installation.
