CAT 323-7264 is a Caterpillar genuine steel-backed bronze alloy bushing (straight tube, no flange, with lubrication grooves and oil holes), adapted for the boom, stick, or connecting rod pins of excavators and loaders. It is used to reduce sliding friction between the pins and structural components, and to withstand radial heavy loads and reciprocating oscillating loads. The following are the key details.
Core Technical Parameters
Item Details
Part Model: CAT 323-7264 (Straight cylindrical sliding bushing, steel back + bronze alloy wear-resistant layer, with axial lubrication grooves and radial oil holes)
Material: Steel back is Q345 low-alloy high-strength steel (2.5 mm thick), wear-resistant layer is CuSn10Pb10 bronze alloy (1.5 mm thick), with porous chrome plating, suitable for -40℃ to +150℃ operating conditions, compatible with lithium-based grease/extreme pressure grease lubrication
Key Dimensions: Inner diameter 50 mm (1.9685 in), outer diameter 58 mm (2.2835 in), length 60 mm (2.3622 in), lubrication groove width 2 mm, depth 0.5 mm, radial oil holes Φ3 mm (4 evenly distributed)
Unit Weight: Approx. 0.38 kg (0.8378 lbs)
Tolerances and Fits: Inner diameter tolerance H7 (0/+0.030 mm), outer diameter tolerance r6 (+0.040/+0.025 mm), clearance fit with pin (0.05-0.10 mm), interference fit with mounting hole (0.02-0.03 mm)
Load Capacity: Maximum radial load 120 kN, coefficient of friction ≤ 0.1 (grease lubrication), suitable for oscillation frequency ≤ 5 Hz, linear velocity ≤ 0.8 m/s operating conditions
Structure and Core Functions:
Composite wear-resistant structure: The steel backing provides high-strength support, the bronze alloy wear-resistant layer has excellent friction reduction and anti-galling properties, and the porous chrome plating layer can store grease, forming a stable oil film, reducing the risk of dry friction, suitable for frequent start-stop and impact conditions in engineering machinery.
High-efficiency lubrication design: The combination of axial lubrication grooves and radial oil holes ensures that the grease is evenly distributed on the contact surface, reducing wear on the pin and bushing, and extending the maintenance cycle.
Heavy-duty adaptability: The straight-tube structure is suitable for heavy-load components such as the boom and stick, capable of withstanding radial heavy loads and reciprocating oscillations at a certain angle, ensuring the relative motion accuracy of the pins and structural components.
Easy assembly: The flangeless design facilitates press-fitting and disassembly, suitable for batch maintenance scenarios. No additional adjustments are required after installation, improving assembly efficiency.
Compatible models and application scenarios:
Compatible equipment: CAT 320D/323D/326D excavators, 950M/962M loaders, 420F2 backhoe loader, D6K bulldozer.
Core application: Installed on the boom and stick connecting pins, stick and bucket connecting pins, and connecting rod and rocker arm connecting pins to support the pins and reduce friction, suitable for low-to-medium speed, radial heavy load + oscillating conditions.
Installation and Maintenance Points
Installation: Clean the mounting hole and pin surface, ensuring it is free of burrs and oil stains. The bushing should have an interference fit with the mounting hole, using a press press for installation. Do not directly strike the end face. After press-fitting, the coaxiality should be ≤ 0.05 mm.
After installation, inject NLGI Grade 2 extreme pressure lithium-based grease, ensuring the lubrication groove and oil hole are full of grease. Perform initial pre-lubrication before use.
Maintenance:
Lubrication: Replenish grease every 200-300 hours, each time until grease overflows from the gap. In harsh conditions (such as dust or humidity), shorten the interval to 100 hours.
Inspection: Regularly check the pin clearance. If the clearance exceeds 0.20 mm or if scratches or peeling appear on the bushing surface, replace it immediately and check the wear condition of the mounting hole.
