The CAT 270-6175 is a Caterpillar genuine single-row tapered roller bearing (including inner ring + outer ring + roller assembly), suitable for drive axles, gearboxes, or drive shafts of equipment such as wheel loaders and excavators. It is used to withstand radial and bidirectional axial combined loads, ensuring smooth operation of transmission components, and is suitable for heavy-duty and impact conditions. The following are key information.

Core Technical Parameters

Item Details
Part Model: CAT 270-6175 (Single Row Tapered Roller Bearing, Complete Set)

Material: Bearing steel + carburized and quenched, raceway hardness HRC 58-62, cage is stamped steel plate, outer ring surface phosphated, rust-proof and wear-resistant

Key Dimensions: Inner diameter 85mm (3.346in), outer diameter 180mm (7.087in), width 41mm (1.614in), cone angle approx. 15°, compatible with φ85mm drive shaft/half shaft

Single Weight: Approx. 4.2kg (9.26 lbs)

Compatible Models: Drive axle main reducer, differential, and gearbox output shaft of CAT 950H/966H loaders, 320D/323D excavators, D6N bulldozers, etc.

Performance Characteristics: Rated radial load ≥120kN, rated axial load ≥50kN, limiting speed… 3200rpm, operating temperature -30℃ to +120℃, shock and vibration resistant, suitable for heavy-duty transmission conditions.

Structure and Core Functions

Composite Load Bearing: The tapered roller structure can simultaneously withstand radial and bidirectional axial loads, adapting to the complex forces on drive axles, gearboxes, and other components, ensuring stable operation of the transmission system.

High-Efficiency Friction Reduction: Precision raceways and rollers result in a low coefficient of friction, reducing transmission energy consumption, minimizing component heat generation, and extending the service life of bearings and related components (such as shafts and housings).

Precise Positioning: The inner ring has an interference fit with the shaft, while the outer ring has a clearance fit with the housing. After installation, the axial and radial positions of the shaft can be precisely positioned, preventing movement of transmission components and reducing abnormal noise and wear.

Maintenance Adaptability: Supplied as a complete set, eliminating the need for separate selection of inner/outer rings/rollers. Easy installation, suitable for quick on-site replacement and maintenance needs, reducing downtime.

Suitable Scenarios and Installation/Maintenance Points

Suitable Scenarios: Used in drive axle main reducers, differentials, and gearbox output shafts of loaders, excavators, and other equipment. Suitable for heavy-load and high-frequency impact operating conditions in mining, infrastructure, and other fields, ensuring reliable operation of the transmission system.

Installation Specifications: Clean the shaft and housing mounting surfaces, ensuring they are free of burrs, oil, and rust. Use heat fitting (oil temperature 80-100℃) to install the inner ring, avoiding hard impacts that could damage the bearing.

After installation, adjust the axial clearance (recommended 0.05-0.15mm). Tighten the bearing cap bolts to the torque specified in the equipment manual (usually 120-150 N·m) to ensure the bearing operates smoothly without jamming.

Maintenance Recommendations: Regularly check the bearing temperature (normally ≤80℃), abnormal noise, and leaks. If any abnormalities are found, immediately stop the machine for repair. Change the transmission oil every 2000 working hours to ensure adequate lubrication.

If bearing wear exceeds 0.2mm, or if pitting occurs on the raceway or roller damage, the entire bearing set must be replaced to prevent damage to the shaft and housing, which could lead to more serious malfunctions.

For long-term storage, apply anti-rust grease to protect the bearings and prevent corrosion from affecting their accuracy.
