CAT 532-9429 is a Caterpillar genuine needle roller bearing with cage and no inner ring (Cage Type, Inner Ring Not Required). It is characterized by high radial load capacity and compact installation, suitable for heavy-duty transmission components such as excavator travel gearboxes. Its core function is supporting and transmitting power between planetary gear shafts and gears. The following is key information.

Core Technical Parameters

Item Details
Part Model: CAT 532-9429 (Single needle roller bearing, no inner ring)

Material: Needle rollers: High carbon chromium bearing steel (GCr15/52100), hardened to HRC60-64; Cage: High-quality low carbon steel/engineering plastic, wear-resistant and impact-resistant, with anti-rust coating

Key Dimensions: Inner diameter approx. 35mm, outer diameter approx. 47mm, width approx. 25mm, needle roller diameter approx. 3mm, quantity approx. 12 pieces, chamfer radius R0.5mm

Single Weight: Approx. 0.12kg (0.26 lbs)

Compatible Models: CAT 313D2GC/315D2 excavator travel gearbox, 906H/907H loader gearbox, final drive of small tracked equipment, commonly used in planetary gear shafts and output shaft support positions

Performance Characteristics: Radial rated dynamic load approx. 42kN, static load approx. 68kN; grease lubrication limiting speed 3800 r/min, oil lubrication 6500 r/min; operating temperature -40℃ to +120℃, suitable for impact and vibration conditions.

Structure and Core Functions
High Load Capacity Compact Design: The inner ring-less structure saves radial space; the needle rollers have a large length-to-diameter ratio, resulting in high load-bearing capacity per unit area. Suitable for gearboxes, final drives, and other parts with limited installation space, transmitting high torque while maintaining a compact structure.

Precise Positioning Transmission: The cage separates the needle rollers, preventing friction and wear, ensuring uniform needle roller distribution, reducing operating noise and heat generation, ensuring the coaxiality of the shaft and gears, and improving transmission efficiency and stability.

Suitable for Heavy-Duty Conditions: Bearing steel material and quenching treatment provide excellent fatigue resistance and wear resistance, suitable for the frequent start-stop and heavy-load impact working environment of construction machinery, extending component service life.

Suitable Scenarios and Installation and Maintenance Points

Suitable Scenarios: Planetary gear support for excavator travel gearboxes, output shaft bearing positions for loader gearboxes, final drive gear shaft positioning for small equipment, especially suitable for parts with limited radial space but requiring large radial loads.

Installation Specifications

The mounting surface must be clean and free of burrs and rust. The journal surface hardness should be ≥HRC58, and the roughness Ra≤0.8μm. The clearance should be controlled between 0.01-0.03mm.

Use a dedicated press to smoothly press the bearing into the bearing housing. Do not strike the end face of the needle rollers to avoid deformation or damage to the cage. Apply grease after installation to ensure initial lubrication.

Use with a matching seal (such as a 532-9411 double cone seal) to prevent oil leakage and impurity intrusion.

Maintenance Recommendations
Check the bearing’s operating condition every 1000 working hours for abnormal noise, abnormal temperature rise, or increased clearance. Replace aged grease promptly.

Avoid prying during disassembly. Use a puller to assist removal to prevent damage to the bearing housing or journal. Spare parts must be stored in a sealed container to prevent moisture and corrosion.
