CAT 386-4920 is a Caterpillar genuine bearing race retaining bolt (YM series). It is compatible with bearing races/end caps in loaders, excavators, and other equipment, providing high-strength fastening between the race and housing to prevent loosening under vibration and ensure stable bearing operation.

Core Technical Parameters

Item Details
Part Model CAT 386-4920 Bearing Seat Bolt (YM Series, including matching nut/washer)

Material High-strength alloy steel, Dacromet/galvanized passivation surface, corrosion-resistant and fatigue-resistant, suitable for heavy-duty vibration conditions

Key Dimensions Thread specification M12×1.75 (common), length 45-55mm (subject to actual product/manual), head internal hexagon/external hexagon, torque adapted to bearing seat tightening requirements

Compatible Models Loaders 930K/950K, excavators 320D/336D, road rollers CS-56B, etc., used for fixing bearing seats, end caps, or eccentric counterweight housings

Performance Characteristics High tensile strength (≥10.9 grade), precise thread fit, anti-loosening design, suitable for high-frequency vibration and heavy-duty conditions

Structure and Core Functions Seat Ring Tightening and Positioning: Connects the bearing seat ring to the equipment housing/ The end cap is rigidly fixed to ensure bearing installation accuracy and prevent bearing wear, abnormal noise, or jamming caused by seat ring displacement.

Anti-loosening and vibration-resistant: Adapted to high-frequency vibrations during equipment operation, the combined design of threads and anti-loosening washers reduces the risk of loosening and prevents seat ring detachment from causing malfunctions.

Protective sealing assistance: Works with seat ring seals to help prevent dust and oil from entering the bearing, extending the service life of the bearing and seat ring.

Installation and maintenance points:
Installation specifications: Clean the bolt threads, seat ring, and housing mounting surfaces to remove oil and rust. Check for thread damage and ensure the seat ring mating surface is flat.

Tighten to the torque specified in the equipment manual (common torque for M12 is 45-55 N·m, depending on the model). Use a cross-symmetrical tightening sequence to avoid uneven stress.

Use original factory washers/nuts. Do not mix fasteners of different specifications to prevent strength mismatch or thread stripping.

Maintenance Recommendations:

Inspect every 500 working hours: Check for loose bolts, thread damage, peeling surface coating, and leaks or displacement of the bolt seat.

If bolt deformation, thread stripping, breakage, or anti-loosening failure is found, immediately replace the entire bolt assembly. Do not repair and reuse.

Regularly retighten to the specified torque to accommodate stress relaxation under vibration conditions and ensure effective tightening.
