CAT 361-1693 YM is a Caterpillar genuine heavy-duty sleeve bearing (shoulder sleeve), commonly used in the articulation, steering, or hydraulic components of skid steer loaders, mini loaders, and other equipment. Its core function is to withstand radial loads, reduce friction, and absorb vibration, making it suitable for high-frequency reciprocating or low-speed rotational conditions and ensuring stable operation of the connection parts.

Core Technical Parameters

Item Details
Part Model: CAT 361-1693 YM Sleeve Bearing (Busket)

Material: Alloy structural steel (42CrMo), surface hardening hardness HRC 58-62, inner hole optional molybdenum disulfide coating to enhance wear resistance and self-lubrication

Key Dimensions: Inner diameter approx. 38mm, outer diameter approx. 50mm, length approx. 45mm, wall thickness 6mm, chamfer at both ends r≈1.5mm, suitable for 38mm diameter pins/shafts

Compatible Models: Commonly compatible with 242D/246D skid steer loaders, 906M/907M mini loaders, 303.5E2 compact excavators, etc., used in boom articulation, tilt cylinder lugs, steering knuckle pins, etc.

Performance Characteristics: One-piece molded structure, strong load-bearing capacity, suitable for heavy-duty and vibration conditions in construction machinery; resistant to oil and dust, can withstand temperatures from -40℃ to… Stable operation at 120℃, low wear rate when used with grease.

Core Functions and Structure

Load Bearing and Friction Reduction: As an intermediate support between the pin and the mounting base, it bears radial loads and reduces resistance during relative movement of components through sliding friction, thus reducing wear between the pin and the machine body and extending component life.

Vibration Absorption: The elasticity of the alloy material absorbs impact vibrations during equipment operation, reducing vibration transmission, lowering the risk of component fatigue damage, and improving operational stability.

Positioning and Guiding: Precise inner and outer diameter dimensions ensure the coaxiality of the pin within the mounting base, preventing uneven wear and ensuring the motion accuracy of hinged/transmission parts.

Installation and Maintenance Points

Installation Specifications: Clean the mounting base hole, sleeve bearing, and pin surface to remove oil, rust, and impurities; check the sleeve for deformation and cracks, and ensure the mounting base hole dimensions meet tolerance requirements (diameter tolerance H7).

Cold-press installation is adopted. Use a special tool to press the sleeve into the mounting base. Do not strike directly with a hammer to prevent sleeve deformation and affecting the fit accuracy. After installation, check the fit between the sleeve end face and the mounting base to ensure there is no gap.

When installing the matching pin, apply lithium-based grease to ensure sufficient lubrication of the sliding surfaces. After installation, check rotating parts for any jamming or abnormal noise.

Maintenance Recommendations: Every 800-1000 working hours, check the sleeve for wear and looseness, and the inner hole coating for integrity. Replace immediately if wear exceeds 0.5mm.

Regularly add grease, adjusting the frequency according to operating conditions (add grease every 200 hours under heavy load/dust conditions, and every 500 hours under light load conditions) to avoid dry friction leading to premature wear.
