CAT 379-0190 YM is a Caterpillar genuine precision thin-walled sleeve bearing (also commonly known as a bushing/sleeve), suitable for piston guides, connecting rod bushings, or pin support parts of hydraulic cylinders in excavators, loaders, and other equipment. It is used for sliding friction protection and positioning under low-speed, heavy-load conditions, and is compatible with the hydraulic systems and transmission mechanisms of Cat® models such as the 320D/323D and 950H.

Core Technical Parameters

Item Details
Part Model: CAT 379-0190 YM Sleeve Bearing

Material: Tin bronze (CuSn10Pb10) or aluminum bronze (CuAl10Fe3), some batches are composite layer structure (steel back + bronze layer + PTFE anti-friction layer), coefficient of friction ≤0.05, hardness HB 80-100, oil resistance and temperature resistance -30℃ to 120℃, rust resistance rating: no corrosion after 72h salt spray test

Key Dimensions: Inner diameter 40mm, outer diameter 45mm, length 30mm, wall thickness 2.5mm, tolerance grade IT7, compatible with 40mm diameter pins/jerseys, radial clearance 0.015-0.025mm, compatible seat hole diameter 45mm

Compatible Models: Compatible with 320D/323D/336D excavators, 950H/962H This product is used in loaders, such as the 430F2 loader, for hydraulic cylinder piston guide sleeves, connecting rod bushings, and pin support bushings.

Performance Characteristics: Sliding friction design, suitable for low-speed (≤5m/s) heavy-load conditions; composite layer structure provides self-lubrication, reducing reliance on lubrication systems; steel backing provides high-strength support; bronze and PTFE layers reduce friction loss, absorb vibration, buffer impact, and extend the service life of pins and mating parts.

Core Functions and Structure:

Sliding Support and Positioning: As a sleeve bearing, it provides stable sliding support for pins, pistons, or connecting rods, limiting radial displacement of components, ensuring motion accuracy, and preventing jamming and wear caused by eccentricity.

Friction Protection: The low-friction coefficient material and composite layer structure reduce direct friction between components, reducing energy loss, and avoiding dry friction wear between metals, suitable for oil-free or low-oil lubrication special conditions.

Buffering and Vibration Reduction: The bronze material has good toughness, absorbing vibration and impact during equipment operation, reducing component fatigue damage, especially suitable for frequent reciprocating motion conditions in hydraulic systems.

Clearance Compensation: A well-designed radial clearance compensates for installation errors and component thermal expansion, preventing jamming due to insufficient clearance or vibration and noise caused by excessive clearance.

Installation and Maintenance Points
Installation Specifications: Clean the mounting hole and bearing surface to remove oil, rust, and impurities; check the bearing for cracks, deformation, and scratches, ensuring dimensions meet assembly requirements.

Use cold mounting or light pressing methods, using a special tool to evenly press the bearing into the mounting hole. Do not strike the bearing end face to prevent deformation; after installation, check that the bearing and pin/journal fit clearance meets requirements, rotates freely without jamming, and has a coaxiality deviation ≤0.05mm.

Apply a small amount of grease (such as lithium-based grease) during installation to enhance lubrication, especially during initial operation, reducing friction and wear.

Maintenance Recommendations: Check every 1500 working hours: for wear, scratches, deformation, or loosening of the bearing; measure the inner diameter wear. Replace the bearing promptly when wear exceeds 0.1mm to avoid excessive clearance affecting equipment operating accuracy.

Regularly check the lubrication condition to ensure the bearing is in a good lubrication environment and prevent dry friction caused by insufficient lubrication. At the same time, check the condition of the seals to prevent dust and impurities from entering the bearing and aggravating wear.
