CAT 152-6560 is a Caterpillar genuine steel-backed bronze bimetallic bushing, primarily used in the boom, stick, bucket pins, or chassis hinges of excavators, loaders, and other equipment. It is compatible with 320D/336D excavators, 950H loaders, etc., and supports the pins through sliding friction. Suitable for low-to-medium speed, medium-to-heavy load, and impact/vibration conditions, it combines wear resistance, friction reduction, and impact resistance properties (Cat®…).
Core Technical Parameters
Item Details
Part Model: CAT 152-6560 Bimetallic Bushing
Material: Steel backing + high-tin bronze (CuSn10Pb10), steel backing hardness HB 200-240, bronze layer contains solid lubricant, suitable for mineral oil lubrication, operating temperature -30℃ to 110℃, operating pressure ≤20MPa, linear speed ≤3m/s
Key Dimensions: Inner diameter approx. 65mm, outer diameter approx. 75mm, length approx. 70mm, wall thickness 5mm, number of oil grooves 2, oil hole diameter 5mm, journal tolerance h6, bearing housing tolerance H7, clearance 0.05-0.08mm
Compatible Models: Compatible with 320D/323D/336D excavators, 950H/962H loaders, D6R Bulldozer components, including boom pin bushings, stick hinge bushings, bucket pin bushings, and chassis steering knuckle bushings.
Performance Characteristics: The bimetallic structure balances strength and friction reduction. The bronze layer contains solid lubricant for boundary lubrication, oil grooves and holes ensure lubrication, and the steel backing resists impact, making it suitable for vibration conditions, reducing pin wear, and extending component life.
Core Functions and Structure:
Sliding Support and Friction Reduction: As the sliding contact component between the pin and structural parts, it reduces friction and wear, supports stable pin operation, and is suitable for low-to-medium speed, heavy load, and impact conditions, avoiding direct contact between the pin and structural parts.
Lubrication and Heat Dissipation: Oil grooves and holes guide lubricating oil into the friction surface, forming an oil film, reducing the coefficient of friction, and carrying away heat, suitable for continuous operation conditions, preventing overheating-induced accelerated wear.
Impact Buffering: The combined structure of the steel backing and bronze layer buffers vibration and impact loads, protecting the pin and structural parts, and is suitable for frequent start-stop and load fluctuation conditions in construction machinery.
Installation and Maintenance Points
Installation Specifications: Clean the pins, structural mounting holes, and bushings to remove oil and impurities. Check the bushings for cracks, deformation, and peeling bronze coating. Measure the dimensions of the pins and mounting holes to ensure a clearance of 0.05-0.08mm.
Install using cold fitting or press-fit methods. Do not directly strike the bushing end face. After installation, check that the oil hole and oil groove are aligned with the lubrication system to ensure smooth lubrication flow.
After installation, apply clean mineral oil or lithium-based grease for pre-lubrication before startup to avoid dry friction.
Maintenance Recommendations: Check every 1000 working hours: bushing operating temperature (normal ≤85℃), pin-shoulder and bushing clearance. Replace immediately if the clearance exceeds 0.20mm.
Regularly inspect the seals and lubrication system to prevent impurities and moisture from entering the bushing, which can accelerate wear. Increase inspection frequency for harsh operating conditions and address any abnormalities promptly.
