CAT 532-9428 is a Caterpillar genuine tapered roller bearing inner race, used in the drive axle, gearbox, or articulated bearing components of loaders, bulldozers, and other equipment. It works with the outer race and roller assembly to bear radial and unidirectional axial loads. It is compatible with CAT 950G/966G loaders, D6R bulldozers, and other models, ensuring bearing operational accuracy and lifespan.

Core Technical Parameters

Item Details
Part Model: CAT 532-9428 Tapered Roller Bearing Inner Seat Ring, suitable for corresponding bearing assemblies. No direct replacement model. Aftermarket reference: 5329428.

Material: Bearing steel chromium-molybdenum alloy (AISI 52100), quenched and tempered, hardness HRC 60-64, surface precision ground, raceway roughness Ra≤0.4μm, core hardness HRC 30-45, possessing high wear resistance and fatigue strength, suitable for heavy-duty applications.

Key Dimensions: Inner diameter 120mm, outer diameter 150mm, width 25mm, raceway cone angle 12°, flange thickness 5mm. Suitable for corresponding bearing roller diameter and length. Dimensional accuracy conforms to ISO 3006 standard P6 grade, radial runout ≤0.015mm.

Compatible Models: CAT 950G/966G loaders, D6R/D7R This bearing is used in bulldozers and 420F backhoe loaders, specifically in the drive axle main reducer bearing, gearbox output shaft bearing, and inner ring of the front frame articulated tapered roller bearing. It is used in conjunction with the corresponding outer ring and roller assembly.

Performance Characteristics: The bearing steel is impact-resistant and wear-resistant. Precision-ground raceways ensure smooth roller rolling, making it suitable for heavy-load and vibration conditions. It bears radial and unidirectional axial loads, preventing relative sliding between the bearing inner ring and the journal, and ensuring the coaxiality and operational accuracy of transmission components.

Core Functions and Structure:

Load Bearing and Transmission: As a core component of the tapered roller bearing, the raceways contact the rollers to evenly transmit radial and unidirectional axial loads during equipment operation to the journal, making it suitable for heavy-load conditions and preventing damage to parts caused by localized stress concentration.

Positioning and Guiding: The interference fit between the inner ring and the journal achieves circumferential and axial positioning of the bearing inner ring on the shaft, preventing relative rotation between the inner ring and the journal during operation. It also provides precise guidance for the rollers, ensuring bearing operational accuracy and reducing vibration and noise.

Wear Protection: High-hardness, high-precision raceways reduce friction and wear between the rollers and the inner ring, extending the overall bearing life. This is suitable for long-term, high-frequency operation of equipment and reduces maintenance costs.

Installation and Maintenance Points
Installation Specifications: Clean the inner ring raceway and journal surface, removing oil, metal shavings, and burrs. Check the inner ring for cracks and deformation, and the raceway for peeling and scratches. Ensure the journal dimensions meet tolerance requirements (interference 0.01-0.03mm).

Hot Fitting Method: Immerse the inner ring in a 100-120℃ constant temperature oil bath for 15-20 minutes. After the inner ring expands, quickly install it onto the journal. Allow it to cool and form an interference fit. Avoid damaging the inner ring and journal by forceful hammering.

After installation, check the fit between the inner ring and journal. Ensure there is no looseness or misalignment, and that rotation is smooth and without jamming, guaranteeing normal bearing operation.

Maintenance Recommendations:

Inspect every 2000 working hours: Check for wear and peeling on the inner ring raceway, and for rust and scoring on the journal. If the inner ring raceway is damaged or the journal fit is loose, replace the inner ring and repair the journal immediately. Replace the corresponding roller assembly and grease.

When replacing, prioritize genuine 532-9428 inner raceways. Non-genuine parts may contain more material impurities or have insufficient dimensional accuracy, which can easily lead to abnormal bearing operation, increased vibration, and equipment failure.
