Installation and Maintenance Points

Installation Specifications: Clean the bearing, journal, and housing bore to remove oil and metal shavings. Inspect for cracks, rust, and pitting. The journal surface roughness Ra ≤ 0.8μm.

Cold-fit installation (apply pressure evenly using a special sleeve). Do not strike the bearing end face. After installation, check the radial clearance to ensure it is within the range of 0.012-0.018mm.

Ensure the oil passages are clear before installation. After assembly, add engine oil for pre-lubrication to avoid dry friction during startup.

Maintenance Recommendations: Every 1000 working hours, check the oil pressure and oil quality (metal shavings content). If a large amount of metal shavings are found in the oil, disassemble and inspect the bearing for wear.

This bearing must be replaced during engine overhaul. During replacement, simultaneously check the journal wear. If the wear exceeds 0.05mm, repair the journal or replace the entire bearing assembly.
