Material: 65Mn spring steel, heat treatment: quenching + low-temperature tempering, hardness HRC42-48
Key Dimensions: Free diameter 38.00 mm, shaft diameter fits 35.00 mm, thickness 1.50 mm, width 3.00 mm, groove width fits 1.60 mm
Structural Features: Single-ring open type, with two symmetrical mounting ears, no ear holes, surface treated with black oxide for rust prevention
Surface Treatment: Black oxide, salt spray test ≥48h, rust prevention level meets Cat standard
Installation Method After opening the shaft with snap ring pliers, insert it into the groove on the shaft and lock it in place using elastic reset.
Applicable Working Conditions: Static positioning, operating temperature -40℃~+120℃, applicable shaft speed ≤3000 r/min
Weight: 0.008 kg
Compatible Models and Assemblies:
Mini Excavators: CAT 301.7CR, 302.7CR (hydraulic pump shaft end, swing motor output shaft)
Skidney Steer Loaders: CAT 242D, 272D (gearbox input shaft, drive axle half shaft)
Matching Parts: 006-1546 snap ring, snap ring pliers, machined shaft groove parts, seals
Installation and Maintenance Points:
Clean the groove on the shaft to remove burrs and oil. The groove width and depth must conform to CAT standards.
Use dedicated external snap ring pliers; avoid damaging the snap ring or shaft with needle-nose pliers or other tools.
Post-installation Inspection: The snap ring should be fully embedded in the groove, without looseness or deformation, and without interference with adjacent parts.
Maintenance: Check the elasticity and surface condition of the fasteners every 1000 working hours. Replace them immediately if deformation, cracks or rust are found.
