CAT 054-7306 is a Caterpillar genuine hydraulic pump bearing positioning elastic retainer (pure original factory information, no additional description). It is compatible with the 352-0618 high-pressure axial piston pump and the C7/C9 engine hydraulic system. It is used for axial positioning of the 054-4138 thrust bearing and the 053-6530 bearing, limiting axial movement of the pump shaft. When used with the 054-3939 retainer, it ensures the coaxiality and operational stability of internal pump components, preventing bearing loosening and abnormal wear.

Check that the groove is free of burrs and rust, and that the retaining ring is free of deformation and breakage, with normal opening elasticity.

Use special snap ring pliers to open the retaining ring and smoothly insert it into the groove, ensuring the retaining ring is fully in place, fitting snugly against the bearing end face without tilting.

After installation, manually move the retaining ring; if it is not loose, check the axial clearance to be 0.05-0.15 mm. The pump shaft should rotate smoothly without jamming or abnormal noise.

Maintenance: Check the retaining ring’s elasticity and wear every 2000 working hours. Replace it immediately if deformation, rust, or loosening is observed to prevent bearing displacement and damage to the pump assembly.
