CAT 064-2311 is a genuine Caterpillar flat washer (pure original factory information, no additional description), compatible with the bearing mounting assembly of the hydraulic pump drive end of C7/C9 engines. It is used with 064-1995/064-0560 retainers and 064-1489 bearings to evenly distribute screw tightening force, prevent surface damage to parts, and ensure reliable fixing and sealing (Cat®…).
Core Parameters and Information
Item Details
Part Model: CAT 064-2311 (0642311) Flat Washer (Flat Washer with Oxidized Black Anti-rust Coating)
Type: Standard flat washer, compatible with M6 socket head cap screws, used for bearing retainer/oil retainer installation, distributing load, preventing loosening, and preventing scratches.
Material: Body: 65Mn spring steel (tempered and tempered HRC42-48, balanced elasticity and toughness), surface oxidized black for rust prevention, weight 0.008 kg
Key Dimensions: Inner diameter 6.5 mm, outer diameter 12 mm, thickness 1.5 mm, chamfer 0.2×45°, flatness ≤0.02 mm, burr-free edges
Matching Parameters: Gap with M6 screw 0.05-0.10 mm, contact area with retainer ≥95%, compression after installation ≤0.1 mm
Working Principle: Placed between the screw head and the retainer, increasing the contact area and distributing the locking force (torque). 9-11 N·m), anti-vibration loosening and surface indentation
Compatible Models and Assemblies
Compatible Parts: 064-1995/064-0560 retainer, 064-1489 bearing, 064-0974 oil retainer ring, M6×12 socket head cap screws (grade 12.9)
Compatible Equipment: CAT 320D/323D/329D excavators, 950H/966H loaders, D6R/D7R bulldozers (C7/C9 engines), for hydraulic pump drive end and accessory drive shaft bearing fixing assembly
Matching Parts: 064-2311 washer, 064-1995 retainer, 064-1489 bearing, 064-0974 oil retainer ring
Installation and Maintenance Points: Clean the contact surfaces of the washer, screw heads, and retainer; ensure no oil contamination. Check for burrs, flatness of washers, and coating integrity; ensure no deformation or corrosion.
Installation sequence: Bearing → Retainer → 064-2311 Washer → M6 Screw, tighten evenly diagonally (torque 9-11 N·m), ensuring washers fit snugly without misalignment.
Inspection: Washers should be free from warping/damage; retainers should have no axial looseness; bearing axial movement ≤0.05 mm; rotation should be smooth and without jamming.
Maintenance: Retighten screw torque every 2000 hours. Replace washers if deformed/corroded/indented to prevent uneven load distribution from causing fixing failure.
