Installation Method: Snaps into the shaft groove, fitting snugly against the bearing inner ring. Axial clearance ≤0.1 mm after installation. Can be used with 077-8682 housings and 077-8701 retainers.

Installation and Maintenance Points:

Clean the shaft groove and retaining ring. Check that the retaining ring is free from deformation and cracks, that the shaft groove size matches the retaining ring, and that the mounting ears are intact.

Use retaining ring pliers to clamp the mounting ears, open the retaining ring, and insert it into the shaft groove, ensuring the retaining ring is fully embedded and fits snugly against the bearing inner ring.

Post-installation inspection: The retaining ring should not be loose or detached, rotating parts should not interfere, and there should be no axial movement.

Maintenance: Every 1000 hours, check the retaining ring’s elasticity and fit with the shaft groove. Replace the retaining ring promptly if it is deformed or its elasticity decreases to prevent component displacement and equipment failure.
