CAT 085-8823 (0858823) is a Caterpillar genuine wear-resistant bushing (shaft sleeve) for articulated parts of construction machinery. It is compatible with 259D3/279D3 skid steer loaders and 906H/907H mini excavators, used at articulation points such as the boom and frame, and the connecting rod and boom. It reduces friction and wear between the pin and the mounting hole, absorbs impact, reduces noise, and ensures smooth operation of the working device.
Core Parameters and Information
Item Details

Compatibility and Application
Compatible Parts: 259D3/279D3 skid steer loaders, 906H/907H This product reduces friction between the boom and frame, and the connecting rod and boom hinge points of a mini excavator’s working device, absorbing shock and reducing noise. It is suitable for frequent load-changing operations such as excavation and loading.
Application Scenarios: Suitable for frequent load-changing operations such as excavation and loading, ensuring smooth operation of the working device’s hinge points, preventing component loosening and wear, reducing the risk of failure, and improving operational safety and reliability.
Compatible Use: Used with 085-8362 retainer and 085-6723 bearing. The bushing provides wear-resistant support, and the retainer provides axial positioning of the bearing, ensuring stable operation of the components.
Installation and Maintenance Points:
Installation: Clean the mounting holes and check dimensional tolerances; use a cold-press/hot-fit process to press the bushing into the mounting holes to ensure a reliable interference fit; after installation, the inner hole must be coaxial with the pin, and the inner hole surface must be free of scratches and burrs to ensure accurate clearance fit with the pin.
Maintenance: Inspect the bushing every 200 hours for wear, loosening, or deformation. If the inner bore wear exceeds 0.5mm or cracks appear, replace it immediately. Avoid contact with water and dust to prevent rust from affecting the fit accuracy.
Replacement: Remove the old bushing using a special puller and check the mounting hole for damage. Before installing the new bushing, verify the dimensions. After installation, ensure a tight fit with the mounting hole, no looseness, and that the clearance between the inner bore and the pin meets requirements.
