Installation and Maintenance Points
Installation: Clean the pin groove and retaining ring. Use snap ring pliers to open the retaining ring and smoothly insert it into the pin groove, ensuring the retaining ring is fully inserted and fits snugly against the bushing and bearing end face without looseness. After installation, check if the retaining ring opening is aligned to ensure uniform elastic tension and no jamming.
Maintenance: Check the retaining ring every 200 hours for deformation, breakage, corrosion, or looseness. Replace it immediately if elastic failure, deformation, or breakage is found to prevent axial movement of components, which could lead to increased clearance and damage at the hinge.
Replacement: Remove the old retaining ring with snap ring pliers and check the pin groove for damage. Before installing the new retaining ring, verify its dimensions to ensure it fits the groove. After installation, test the hinge to confirm there are no abnormal noises or axial movement.
