CAT 094-7542 (0947542) is a radial retainer for Caterpillar hydraulic pump/motor bearing cavities. It is used to lock the bearing outer ring or end cap, and is suitable for the power transmission systems of medium and large excavators and loaders. It prevents component displacement and seal failure caused by vibration, ensuring stable operation of Cat® Parts…
Core Parameters
Item Details
Part Model: CAT 094-7542 (0947542) Fixture
Type: Bearing cavity radial fixator, used for positioning the outer ring/end cover of the bearing, preventing loosening and movement
Material: 40Cr alloy steel, tempered + surface galvanized passivation, hardness HRC38-42, high strength, wear-resistant, corrosion-resistant
Key Dimensions: Inner diameter approx. 150mm, outer diameter approx. 170mm, thickness approx. 8mm, bolt holes 4×M16, single weight approx. 1.8kg, suitable for corresponding bearing housing mounting dimensions
Compatible Models: CAT 330, 336 excavators, 972, 980 loaders, suitable for hydraulic pumps, travel motors, and gearboxes of C9.3/C13 engines
Matching Relationships Often used with bearings, end caps, and gaskets, symmetrically installed to provide radial fixation and anti-loosening effects.
Applications and Fit
Suitable Parts: Hydraulic pump bearing housings, travel motor end caps, gearbox bearing chambers. Installed between the bearing outer ring and the end cap, it radially locks the bearing outer ring, preventing rotation of the outer ring and loosening of the end cap due to vibration, protecting seals, and reducing leakage risk.
Application Scenarios: Mining, large-scale earthmoving, heavy-duty hoisting, and other conditions with severe vibration. Suitable for medium to large equipment power systems, extending bearing and seal life and reducing failure frequency.
Core Functions: Limits radial displacement of the bearing outer ring, ensures coaxiality of operation, counteracts vibration impact, prevents end cap loosening and seal failure, and maintains stable operation of the hydraulic/transmission system.
Installation and Maintenance Points
Installation: Clean the mounting surface and bolt holes, apply CAT special anti-loosening adhesive, and tighten with a torque wrench in diagonal sequence 2-3 times to 120-140 N·m, ensuring a tight fit without gaps. After fixing, check for looseness and radial movement.
Maintenance: Check the tightness and coating integrity every 250 hours. Immediately tighten any loose parts and reapply anti-loosening adhesive. Regularly check the temperature and for abnormal noises in related components; disassemble and repair if abnormalities are found.
Replacement: Prioritize original parts. Verify the model and dimensions. After installation, test the power system to ensure it operates normally, without abnormal noises, leaks, or loosening.
