CAT 094-8432 (0948432) is a dedicated radial retainer for Caterpillar hydraulic pump/slewing motor bearing cavities. It is used to lock the bearing outer ring to the spring base (e.g., 094-8233), preventing radial displacement and axial movement. It is suitable for heavy-duty power transmission systems in ultra-large excavators and loaders, ensuring stable bearing preload and sealing.
Core Parameters
Item Details
Part Model: CAT 094-8432 (0948432) Radial Fixture
Type: Bearing cavity radial locking fixture, prevents radial displacement, maintains preload, and reduces vibration
Material: 42CrMo alloy steel, tempered + blackened surface oxidation + galvanized, hardness HRC38-42, tensile strength ≥1080MPa, impact resistant, corrosion resistant
Key Dimensions: Inner diameter approx. 170mm, outer diameter approx. 200mm, thickness approx. 25mm, bolt hole distribution circle diameter approx. 180mm, single weight approx. 3.2kg, suitable for corresponding bearing cavities
Compatible Machines: CAT 349, 352, 374 excavators, 982, 988 loaders, suitable for hydraulic pumps/slewing motors of C13, C15 engines
Matching Relationships Matching spring base (094-8233), bearing, retainer (094-7940), and lower retaining ring (094-7732), 1-2 units per component, radial positioning and locking.
Applications:
Suitable for: Rear end of hydraulic pump bearing cavity, rotary motor bearing housing; locks the bearing outer ring and spring base, preventing radial displacement and axial movement, ensuring stable preload and sealing effect, and preventing oil leakage and bearing wear.
Application Scenarios: Mining, large-scale earthmoving, and other severe vibration conditions; suitable for ultra-large equipment power systems, improving bearing life and operational stability.
Core Functions: Provides high-strength radial locking, offsets impact loads, prevents radial displacement and axial movement of the bearing, protects seals and spring base, extends component life, and reduces maintenance frequency.
Installation and Maintenance Points
Installation: Clean the mounting surface and threaded holes. Apply CAT-specific anti-loosening adhesive. Tighten in 2-3 steps diagonally to the specified torque (approximately 400-450 N·m), ensuring a tight fit without gaps. After fixing, check for radial displacement and axial movement.
Maintenance: Check the tightness and coating integrity every 300 hours. If loose, immediately retighten and reapply anti-loosening adhesive. Regularly check for abnormal noises and temperatures in related components; disassemble and repair if abnormalities are found.
Replacement: Prioritize original parts. Verify the model and dimensions. After installation, test the power system to ensure it operates normally, without abnormal noises, leaks, or loosening.
