CAT 095-4216 (0954216) is the track recoil spring base for the Caterpillar 400GT tracked chassis. It is compatible with heavy-duty equipment such as 349/352/374 excavators and 982/988 loaders. Installed at the connection between the track tension cylinder and the spring assembly, it has the same function as 095-4213 but differs in structural details. It supports the tension spring, positions the compression stroke, and transmits tension force, making it a core load-bearing component of the track tensioning mechanism (Cat® Parts).

Dimensions and Weight Compatible with 400GT spring assembly, outer diameter approx. 190-210mm, height approx. 90-110mm, flange diameter approx. 230-250mm, single weight approx. 13-16kg, locating boss precisely matches the spring inner diameter
Compatible Models CAT 349, 352, 374 Excavators, 982, 988 loaders, and other 400GT tracked chassis equipment.
Functional Positioning: Supports the tension spring, positions the travel, transmits tension force, buffers impact, protects track links and track rollers, and stabilizes track tension.
Compatibility and Application:
Compatible Parts: The connection between the front end of the track tension cylinder and the spring assembly. Bolts are used to fix the cylinder to the track frame. It supports the spring assembly, positions the compression travel, transmits tension force to the track links, and maintains stable track tension (Cat® Parts).
Application Scenarios: Heavy-duty working conditions such as mining and infrastructure construction. It withstands walking impacts and vibrations, buffers loads, prevents abnormal wear caused by excessively loose or tight tracks, and ensures the stability of the walking system.
Core Functions: Supports the spring and positions the travel, transmits tension force, buffers impacts, protects chassis components, and extends the life of the track system.
Installation and Maintenance Points:
Installation: Clean the connecting surfaces and tighten the bolts to the original torque of 350-400 N·m; check the spring positioning and travel to ensure the track tension is compliant. Maintenance cycle: Check for deformation, cracks, and bolt torque every 500 hours; shorten to 200 hours in harsh working conditions such as mining.
Replacement criteria: Replace when cracks, deformation, wear of the locating boss, or inability to support the spring/transmit tension force are observed. Original parts are preferred to avoid tensioning failure due to size/strength issues.
