CAT 095-9221 is a dedicated cylindrical roller/needle roller bearing adapted for the tensioning mechanism of the 760GT heavy-duty tracked chassis. It provides heavy-duty radial support for the piston rod/piston assembly and is compatible with 349/352/374/395 excavators and 982/988 loaders. It forms a dual-support bearing assembly when used with 095-8931 ball bearings and 095-9182 retainers.

Core Parameters

Item Details
Part Model: CAT 095-9221 (0959221)
Part Name: Tensioning Mechanism Support Bearing
Compatible Platform: 760GT Track Tensioning Cylinder / Guide Chamber
Material: GCr15 high-carbon chromium bearing steel, integrally hardened HRC 58–62
Structure: Single-row roller/needle roller type, resistant to radial impact, low friction
Functional Positioning: Withstands the strong radial impact load of track movement, stabilizes piston/piston rod coaxiality, and protects seals from uneven wear.
Assembly Position and Cooperating Components
Installation Position: Rear end of tensioning cylinder piston / inside guide cylinder, forming a front and rear double support with 095-8931 ball bearing.

Matching Components:
095-9182 retainer, 095-8510 retainer, 095-7947 retainer ring, piston rod seal assembly.

Function: To distribute radial loads, prevent overload of a single bearing, and ensure smooth tensioning without jamming or runout.

Installation and Maintenance Points

Installation: Must be cold-installed or low-temperature hot-installed (≤90℃). Striking the raceway is strictly prohibited; ensure no clearance or movement with the shaft/seat.

Inspection Cycle: 1000 hours under standard operating conditions; 500 hours in mining/crushing operations.

Replacement Criteria:
Raceway pitting, peeling, scratches
Roller/needle body breakage, cage fracture
Excessive radial clearance, sluggish operation, abnormal noise
Seam wear leading to dust ingress and ablation
