CAT 095-9882 (0959882) is a track tensioning cylinder spring retainer adapted for the 760GT tracked chassis. It features a ring-shaped structure with external threads and a locating boss, suitable for models such as 349/352/374/395 excavators and 982/988 loaders. It is installed between the 095-9732 main compression spring and the 095-9850 bearing cap, assisting the 095-9852 retainer in secondary locking the spring preload, distributing the load, and providing dual protection for the stability of the track tensioning system.

Compatible Models: CAT 349, 352, 374, 395 Excavators; 982, 988 Loaders (760GT tracked chassis configuration)

Functional Positioning: Auxiliary to lock the preload of the 095-9852 retainer, distributing axial load, providing double anti-loosening, preventing spring loosening and radial displacement, ensuring stable track tension.

Adaptation and Application:
Installation Position: Inside the track tensioning cylinder, between the 095-9732 main compression spring and the 095-9850 bearing cap. Used in conjunction with the 095-9852 retainer, it is fixed to the cylinder wall via external threads. The positioning boss fits against the bearing cap, assisting in locking the spring preload, distributing load, and providing double protection for system stability.

Application Scenarios: Suitable for heavy-duty, high-frequency impact conditions such as mining stripping, rock crushing, and tunnel excavation. It withstands alternating spring loads and vibrations, preventing spring loosening and tension failure, and is suitable for high-intensity working environments.

Core Functions: Assists in locking the spring preload, distributes axial load, provides double anti-loosening protection, prevents spring loosening and radial displacement, ensures stable track tension, and extends the service life of the spring and cylinder.

Installation and Maintenance Points:

Installation: Clean the threads of the retainer, the locating boss, and the surface of the 095-9850 bearing cap. Apply thread locking agent (Cat 5P-3931). Screw the external thread of the retainer into the cylinder wall, ensuring the locating boss fits against the bearing cap. Control the torque at 400-450 N·m to ensure proper preload and no loosening.

Install the 095-9732 spring, 095-9772 spring seat, 095-9760 spring base, and 095-9852 retainer in sequence. Test that the tensioning cylinder extends and retracts smoothly without jamming, abnormal noise, or leakage.

Maintenance Cycle: Under standard operating conditions, check the retainer thread tightness, surface cracks, and locating boss wear every 2000 hours; for mining operating conditions, shorten this to 1000 hours, recording the fit clearance and deformation.

Replacement Criteria: Replace the retainer if thread damage, surface cracks, locating boss wear >1mm, or fit clearance with the spring/bearing cap >1mm. Prioritize original parts to avoid spring locking failure or tensioning malfunction due to material/dimensional deviations of non-original parts.
