CAT 096-0255 (0960255) is an original three-grip track pad for the 760GT track chassis. It is a wear-resistant pad specifically designed for the 096-0232 track pads, compatible with 349/352/374/395 excavators and 982/988 loaders. Used for heavy-duty abrasive applications, it can be replaced individually, protecting the track pads and reducing maintenance costs. It works in conjunction with the 095 series tensioning system to ensure stable movement.

Compatibility and Application

Installation: Install on the 096-0232 track shoe tooth holder, secured with two M24 bolts. The positioning grooves should precisely fit the tooth holder to prevent loosening.

Working Conditions: Primarily suitable for heavy-duty, high-abrasion scenarios such as mining stripping, quarries, and hard rock tunnels. For extremely soft ground, it is recommended to replace with wider/wet-floor tooth profiles.

Matchings: Compatible with 096-0232 track shoes and M24 dedicated bolts/lock nuts. When replacing, simultaneously check tooth holder wear, bolt hole condition, and the tension of 095-9936 and 095-9962 spring seats.

Installation and Maintenance Points

Installation Steps:
Clean the tooth block and tooth seat, apply Cat 106-3960 grease to prevent jamming; tighten the M24 bolts symmetrically to a torque of 800-850 N·m, and retighten after 24 hours.

Check the fit and running condition to ensure there is no looseness, misalignment, or abnormal noise.

Maintenance Cycle: 800 hours under standard operating conditions, check tooth height wear and bolt torque; shorten to 400 hours for mining/rock conditions and record data.

Replacement Standards: Replace individually or in pairs when single tooth wear > 50% (remaining tooth height < 22 mm), tooth root cracks, locating groove wear > 1 mm, or bolt hole stripping. Welding repairs are strictly prohibited.
