CAT 504-4245 (5044245) is a Caterpillar original equipment manufacturer (CAT) pump drive flange-specific bushing/sleeve with an inner diameter of 55mm. It supports the shaft system at the pump drive flange, ensuring coaxiality and structural stability. It is compatible with C15, C18 series engines and their matching pump sets, and is a key positioning and load-bearing component of the transmission system.
Core Parameters (Original Manufacturer Nominal)
Item Details
Part Model: CAT 504-4245 (5044245) Pump Drive Flange Sleeve
Material: 42CrMo alloy steel + quenching and tempering, surface nitriding, hardness HRC38-42, wear-resistant layer thickness 0.15-0.2mm, oil and corrosion resistant
Key Dimensions: Inner diameter 55mm, outer diameter 75mm, total length 80mm, flange diameter 90mm, bolt hole distribution circle diameter 80mm, 4 M10 mounting holes, keyway width 10mm, depth 3mm
Suitable for: Pump drive flanges of CAT C15, C18, 3512C, and other engines; suitable for shaft diameter 55mm, shaft radial runout ≤0.05mm
Functional Characteristics: Positioning accuracy ±0.02mm, radial load ≤5kN, temperature resistance -40℃ to 120℃, suitable for continuous operation, IP40 protection rating.
Installation method: Hot mounting (heated 80-100℃) or cold mounting, secured with locating pins and M10 bolts. Installation torque: 25-28 N·m.
Weight: Approx. 1.8 kg.
Suitable for:
Installation and positioning: Installed on the flange end of the pump drive unit. The inner diameter of the bushing is interference-fitted with the drive shaft. The flange is fixed to the pump drive housing with bolts. The keyway transmits torque, ensuring shaft coaxiality and preventing radial movement and vibration.
Working conditions: Suitable for engine-driven hydraulic pumps, fuel pumps, and other transmission systems. Suitable for heavy-duty mining trucks, large excavators, marine auxiliary machinery, etc., ensuring efficient power transmission between the pump unit and engine, reducing transmission wear.
Compatibility: Compatible with 504-4246 locating pins and 127-0712 M10 bolts. When replacing, simultaneously check the wear of the bushing inner diameter, keyway damage, and the flatness of the flange sealing surface.
Matching: Used with 504-4246 locating pins and 127-0712 M10 bolts. Installation and Maintenance Points
Installation Steps:
Clean the mounting surfaces of the shaft and bushing. Heat the bushing to 80-100℃ and quickly insert it onto the shaft end. After cooling, achieve an interference fit.
Align the keyway and locating pin holes, insert the locating pin, and tighten the flange with M10 bolts at a crosswise pressure of 25-28 N·m.
Check that there is no interference between the bushing and the flange, that the shaft system rotates without jamming, and that the radial runout is ≤0.05mm.
Maintenance Cycle: Check every 2000 hours under standard operating conditions. For harsh operating conditions (high dust, heavy load), shorten to 1000 hours. Focus on checking for inner diameter wear, keyway deformation, and surface cracks.
Replacement Criteria: Replace the shaft if inner diameter wear exceeds 0.1mm, keyway depth wear exceeds 0.5mm, or surface cracks or deformation appear. It cannot be repaired.
