Part Number 086-1776 (0861776) Track Shoe
Material: Boron Steel, CAT Yellow Primer + Abrasion-resistant Coating; Salt Spray ≥480h; Hardness HB380–420, Hardened Layer Depth ≥8mm
Structure Type: Single Grouser, Standard Hole Position, Non-Self-Cleaning, Non-Offset; Comes with 2 Sets of High-Strength Track Bolts and Nuts (Recommended Original 9W-3361/6Y-0846)
Compatible Pitch/Width: Common compatible pitches 190mm/216mm; Track shoe widths are mostly 500/550mm (specific specifications depend on chassis configuration)
Weight: Approx. 28 kg (61.7 lbs)
Rated Operating Conditions: Suitable for moderate impact, non-abrasive (e.g., granite) environments; for continuous operation, track shoe wear should be checked every 500 hours. Bolt Torque
Compatible Models: Mainstream compatible with small to medium-sized CAT excavators (such as early models of the 312 and 315 series), and D4/D5 bulldozers; final verification must be performed using both chassis serial number and mounting hole spacing.
Application and Matching Points
Function: Provides ground support and traction, preventing chain links from directly contacting the ground and causing rapid wear; the single-tooth design provides good penetration in soft soil/clay, with moderate steering resistance.
Matching: Track shoes must be replaced in pairs from the same batch; mixing track shoes of different materials/thicknesses is strictly prohibited (it will cause misalignment and uneven track tension); bolt tightening torque should follow the original manufacturer’s manual (commonly 380–420 N・m), and it is recommended to tighten them in two alternating stages, re-inspecting after warming up the machine.
Replacement Standards: Immediate replacement is required if tooth height wear > 40%, cracks appear in the shoe body, hole deformation/stripping, or the hardened layer peels off; welding repair of cracked shoes is strictly prohibited.
Installation and Maintenance Procedure: Stop the machine on a level, hard surface. Support the machine body, fully loosen the track tension cylinder, and remove the old track pads.
Clean the bolt holes on the track links and new track pads, removing rust and oil.
Tighten the tracks twice in a crisscross pattern using a torque wrench (initially 70% torque, then 100%).
Restore track tension, drive the machine unloaded for 10 minutes, and then recheck the torque.
Maintenance Cycle: 500 hours under standard operating conditions; 300 hours under high dust/humid conditions. Inspection items include tooth wear, presence of hidden cracks in the track pads, and misalignment of bolt anti-loosening marks.
