CAT 064-1489 is a Caterpillar genuine single-row deep groove ball bearing (pure original factory information, no additional description), adapted for the hydraulic pump drive end and accessory drive shaft of C7/C9 engines, used for radial load support and high-speed stable rotation. It is used in conjunction with the 064-0560 retainer and the 064-0974 oil retainer ring to ensure the accuracy and lifespan of the transmission system.
Core Parameters and Information
Item Details
Part Model: CAT 064-1489 (0641489) Single Row Deep Groove Ball Bearing (with stamped cage, double iron cap seal)
Type: Deep groove ball bearing, 60 series, double iron cap seal, grease lubrication, maintenance-free, suitable for radial loads, speed ≤8000 rpm
Material: Inner/Outer Ring: Chromium steel GCr15 quenched HRC60-64; Rolling Elements: GCr15 bearing steel; Cage: SPCC cold-rolled steel plate; Seal: Nitrile rubber NBR, Weight: 0.42 kg
Key Dimensions: Inner diameter 45 mm, Outer diameter 75 mm, Width 16 mm, Chamfer 1.5×45°, Radial clearance C3 (0.015-0.028 mm)
Match Parameters: Interference fit with journal 0.005-0.012 mm, Clearance with bearing housing bore 0.008-0.018 mm, axial clearance after installation 0.08-0.15 mm
Installation method: Cold press-fit onto journal (press-fitting force ≤5 kN), outer ring transition fit with bearing housing, end face fit 064-0560 retainer positioning
Compatible models and assemblies
Compatible parts: 064-0560 retainer, 064-0974 oil retainer ring, 054-4003 oil seal, 352-0618 hydraulic pump drive shaft
Compatible equipment: CAT 320D/323D/329D excavators, 950H/966H loaders, D6R/D7R bulldozers (C7/C9 engines), used for hydraulic pump drive end, accessory drive shaft, gearbox input shaft
Matching parts: 064-1489 bearing, 064-0560 retainer, 064-0974 Oil retainer ring, 054-6734 bushing
Installation and maintenance points:
Clean the journal and bearing housing bore, ensuring no burrs or oil contamination. Check the bearing seal and cage for integrity, deformation, or damage.
Cold press the bearing journal (using specialized tooling to avoid impact). Install the outer ring into the bearing housing. Position the retainer assembly and tighten the screws (torque 9-11 N·m).
Inspection: The bearing should rotate freely without jamming. Radial clearance should be 0.015-0.028 mm, axial runout ≤0.15 mm, and there should be no abnormal noise.
Maintenance: Check the retainer screw torque every 2000 hours. Disassemble every 5000 hours. Replace the seal if damaged or if the rolling elements are pitted to prevent lubrication failure.
