CAT 064-1995 is a Caterpillar genuine bearing axial retainer (pure original factory information, no additional description), used on the hydraulic pump drive end/accessory drive shaft of C7/C9 engines. It positions the 064-1489/063-2847 bearing and is used in conjunction with the 064-0974 oil retainer ring to prevent axial movement of the bearing, ensuring transmission accuracy and reliable sealing.

Core Parameters and Information

Project Details
Part Model: CAT 064-1995 (0641995) Bearing Axial Retainer (Split Type, with Positioning Step + Locking Screw)

Type: Split shaft retainer with 3 M6 socket head cap screws, equipped with anti-loosening washers, suitable for bearing inner rings/shoulders, axial positioning + anti-rotation

Material: Body: 42CrMo alloy steel (quenched and tempered HRC32-36, wear-resistant and impact-resistant), surface anodized black for rust prevention; Screws: 12.9 grade alloy structural steel; Anti-loosening washers: spring steel 65Mn; Weight: 0.18 kg

Key Dimensions: Inner diameter 45 mm (suitable for 064-1489 bearing inner diameter journal), outer diameter 60 mm, width 8 mm, positioning step height 2 mm, screw hole distribution circle diameter 52 mm, screw hole diameter 6.5 mm, split clearance 0.5 mm, inner diameter interference fit 0.01-0.02 mm
Matching Clearance: The clearance between the bearing inner ring and the bearing inner ring end face is ≤0.02 mm; the radial clearance between the bearing inner ring and the oil retainer ring is 0.05-0.08 mm; the perpendicularity to the shaft shoulder locating surface is ≤0.01 mm.
Positioning Principle: After the journal is installed, the three screws are evenly tightened (torque 9-11 N・m). The positioning step fits against the bearing inner ring end face, restricting axial movement. The anti-loosening washer prevents vibration-induced loosening.
Compatible Models and Assemblies
Compatible Parts: 064-1489/063-2847 Bearing, 064-0974 Oil Retainer Ring, 064-0560 Fixture, 352-0618 Hydraulic Pump Drive Shaft
Compatible Equipment: CAT 320D/323D/329D Excavators, 950H/966H Loaders, D6R/D7R Bulldozers (C7/C9) (Engine), used for positioning bearings on the hydraulic pump drive end, accessory drive shaft, and gearbox input shaft.

Matching parts: 064-1995 retainer, 064-1489 bearing, 064-0974 oil retainer ring, 054-4003 oil seal.

Installation and maintenance points:

Clean the journal and bearing inner ring end face, ensuring no burrs or oil stains. Check the retainer’s split surface and screw integrity, ensuring no deformation or damage.

After cold-pressing the bearing onto the journal, install the retainer, ensuring the positioning step fits against the bearing inner ring and the split surfaces are aligned. Tighten the screws diagonally in sequence (torque 9-11 N·m), ensuring the anti-loosening washers are tightly against the screw heads.

Inspection: The retainer should have no axial looseness, the bearing’s axial movement ≤0.05 mm, rotation should be flexible without jamming, and there should be no abnormal noise.

Maintenance: Retighten the screw torque every 2000 hours. Disassemble every 5000 hours. Replace the retainer if it is deformed or the threads are stripped to prevent bearing positioning failure.
