The CAT 064-3874 is a Caterpillar original equipment manufacturer (OEM) Mechanical Suspension Operator Seat, compatible with various CAT loaders, graders, and other construction machinery. It provides basic shock absorption and seating posture adjustment for extended work hours, making it a core component ensuring operator comfort and operational efficiency.
Core Parameters (Original Manufacturer Nominal)
Item Details
Part Model: CAT 064-3874 (0643874) Mechanical Suspension Seat
Material: Base is made of stamped carbon steel, frame is made of Q235 steel, and surface is powder-coated; seat surface is made of oil-resistant and wear-resistant PVC material, filled with high-resilience cold-foam sponge, anti-aging ≥5 years
Key Dimensions: Seat width 460mm, total height 980mm, front-to-back adjustment travel 150mm, seat depth 480mm, base mounting hole spacing 350×250mm, compatible with standard mounting rails
Compatible Items: Compatible with CAT 950G/H, 962G/H loaders, 120G/H, 140G/H graders, etc.; matching safety belt 222-0345, rail 421-1223
Features: Mechanical spring shock absorption, vertical travel 50mm, load capacity… 60-120kg, adjustable backrest angle 0-110°, with simple lumbar support, suitable for continuous work conditions.
Electrical Configuration: No heating/ventilation (basic model), optional 24V heating pad (528-7420 wiring harness sold separately).
Weight: Approx. 18kg (39.7lbs).
Suitable Applications:
Basic Shock Absorption and Support: Filters vibrations and impacts during travel and operation through mechanical spring suspension, alleviating operator lumbar and spinal fatigue, suitable for loaders, graders, and other medium-vibration work conditions.
Work Condition Suitability: Suitable for low-to-medium intensity work scenarios such as municipal construction and road maintenance. Maintains basic comfort even after more than 8 hours of continuous operation, with lower maintenance costs than air suspension seats.
Compatibility: Compatible with 222-0345 two-point safety belt and 421-1223 seat rail; during installation, precise matching with the base mounting holes is required to ensure the seat is securely fixed without wobbling.
Installation and Maintenance Points
Installation Steps:
1. Clean the mounting surface of the cab seat base. Secure the seat rail to the base and tighten the bolts to a torque of 40-45 N·m.
2. Install the seat body onto the rail, connect the locking mechanism, and test the fore-and-aft sliding and locking functions to ensure they are normal.
3. Install the seat belt and check that the backrest angle adjustment and lumbar support adjustment are smooth and without jamming.
Maintenance Cycle: Check every 1500 hours under standard operating conditions, focusing on spring elasticity, rail wear, and locking mechanism reliability. For harsh operating conditions (high dust, high vibration), shorten the interval to 1000 hours.
Replacement Standard: If the seat surface is damaged and leaking foam, the spring is broken/fatigued, the rail locking mechanism fails, or the frame is deformed, the entire seat must be replaced; it cannot be repaired.
