Installation: One piece per tappet shaft, installed on the outside of the 077-2790 fixing device. Double locking of the shaft end is achieved through elastic clamping and engagement of the positioning claw, preventing axial movement and radial rotation.
Installation and Maintenance Points: Clean the fixing device, tappet shaft, and mounting surface. Check for deformation, cracks, and coating peeling. The surface roughness Ra ≤ 1.6 μm, and the flatness ≤ 0.01 mm.
The pre-installed positioning claw engages with the tappet shaft groove, elastically clamping it into place. Using the 077-2790 retainer, tighten the bolts to 18-22 N·m, ensuring a tight fit without looseness.
After installation, check that the axial runout of the tappet shaft is ≤0.02 mm and the radial runout is ≤0.01 mm. The fuel pump should operate without abnormal noise or leakage.
Maintenance: Check the retainer’s elasticity every 2000 hours (replace when clamping force <800 N). Simultaneously check the bushings and sealing bushings for wear to prevent positioning failure.
