CAT 077-3282 is a Caterpillar genuine rotor gasket (pure original factory information, no additional description), adapted for the high-pressure fuel pump rotor assembly of C13/C15/C18 engines. It is used to adjust the rotor axial clearance, ensuring smooth rotor operation, preventing fuel leakage and abnormal wear of components, and is a key precision gasket component of the fuel pump assembly.
Core Parameters and Information
Item Details
Part Model: CAT 077-3282 (0773282) Rotor Gasket
Structure Type: Thin precision metal gasket, round, with positioning holes, used for rotor axial clearance adjustment and sealing
Material: Stainless steel (SUS304), smooth and burr-free surface, thickness tolerance ±0.005 mm, weight 0.008 kg
Key Dimensions: Outer diameter 65 mm, inner diameter 40 mm, thickness 0.2 mm, positioning hole diameter 6 mm, positioning hole center distance 50 mm
Performance Parameters: Operating temperature -40℃ to 150℃, flatness ≤0.01 mm, compressive strength ≥100 MPa, sealing pressure ≥10 MPa
Compatibility Standard: Complies with CAT gasket technical specifications, dimensional accuracy up to IT7 grade, surface roughness Ra≤0.8 μm
Compatible Models and Assemblies
Compatible Parts: 077-3262 Fixture, 077-3080 Bearings and High-Pressure Fuel Pump Rotor Assembly
Compatible Equipment: CAT 336D2L/349D2L excavators, 980M/982M loaders, D8T/D9R bulldozers (C13/C15/C18 engines), used for adjusting and sealing the axial clearance of the high-pressure fuel pump rotor.
Installation: One unit per fuel pump, installed between the rotor and pump body. Adjust the rotor axial clearance to 0.05-0.1 mm to ensure smooth rotor operation and prevent fuel leakage.
Installation and Maintenance Points:
Clean the gasket mounting surface and check for deformation, scratches, and stains. Ensure the mounting surface roughness Ra≤1.6 μm and flatness≤0.02 mm.
During installation, place the gasket flat between the rotor and pump body, aligning the positioning holes and positioning pins to ensure the gasket is not misaligned and to avoid uneven clearance after installation.
After installation, check the rotor axial clearance. Adjust it to the standard range by increasing or decreasing the number of shims or replacing them with shims of different thicknesses (0.1 mm, 0.2 mm, and 0.3 mm are available). The rotor should rotate freely without jamming or abnormal noise.
Maintenance: Check the gasket sealing performance every 2000 hours. If fuel leakage, gasket deformation, or wear is found, replace it immediately. Also check the wear of the mating surfaces between the rotor and the pump body, and repair or replace as necessary.
