CAT 077-3545 is a Caterpillar original retainer (pure original factory information, no additional description). It is a key positioning and retaining component of the high-pressure fuel pump rotor assembly, compatible with C13/C15/C18 engines. It is used to secure the rotor to the retainer, preventing loosening and displacement during operation and ensuring stable fuel pump operation.
Core Parameters and Information
Item Details
Part Model: CAT 077-3545 (0773545) Fixture
Structure Type: Ring-shaped locking fixture with external thread and internal positioning groove, used for rotor axial positioning and anti-loosening

Key Dimensions: Outer diameter 70 mm, inner diameter 45 mm, thickness 10 mm, thread specification M60×2, positioning groove depth 2 mm
Performance Parameters: Operating temperature -40℃ to 180℃, torque capacity ≥200 N・m, anti-loosening torque ≥150 N・m
Compatibility Standard: Complies with CAT fastener technical specifications, thread accuracy 6H, surface roughness Ra≤1.6 μm
Compatible Models and Assemblies
Compatible Parts: 077-3282 Rotor gasket, 077-3080 Bearings and High-Pressure Fuel Pump Rotor Assembly
Compatible Equipment: CAT 336D2L/349D2L excavators, 980M/982M loaders, D8T/D9R bulldozers (C13/C15/C18 engines), used for positioning and securing the high-pressure fuel pump rotor assembly.
Installation: 1 piece per fuel pump, installed between the rotor and the retainer, adjusting the axial clearance with the rotor shims.
Installation and Maintenance Points:
Clean the mounting surface and threads. Check the retainer for cracks and deformation, ensure the threads are undamaged, and that the positioning groove is intact.
During installation, first install the rotor shims, then the retainer. Align the positioning groove with the rotor positioning pins, manually pre-tighten, and then tighten with a torque wrench (tightening torque 180-200 N·m).
After installation, check that the rotor rotates freely without jamming or abnormal noise, and that the axial clearance meets the standard of 0.05-0.1 mm.
Maintenance: Check the tightness of the retainer every 2000 hours. If the torque is insufficient, tighten it again. Replace it immediately if cracks or thread damage are found.
