CAT 077-5131 is a Caterpillar genuine bushing (pure original factory information, no additional description). It is a wear-resistant support component for shaft systems, suitable for heavy-duty rotating shafts in engineering machinery. It is used to isolate the shaft from the housing bore, bear radial loads, assist in lubrication, and extend the service life of shaft components.
Core Parameters and Information
Item Details
Part Model: CAT 077-5131 (0775131) Bushing
Structure Type: Straight cylindrical oil-groove-free bushing, chamfered ends for easy cold-press installation and coaxial positioning
Material: High-strength brass (CuZn25Al6), aluminum-reinforced for wear resistance, surface passivated for corrosion resistance, hardness HB 110-130
Key Dimensions: Inner diameter 70 mm, outer diameter 80 mm, length 60 mm, chamfer 30°×1.5 mm, wall thickness 5 mm
Performance Parameters: Applicable load ≤20 kN, operating temperature -30℃ to 180℃, coefficient of friction ≤0.18, suitable speed ≤5000 r/min
Compatibility Standard: Conforms to CAT shaft bushing specifications, dimensional tolerance GB/T 1243-8, surface roughness Ra≤0.8 μm
Matching Relationship Interference fit with the housing bore (H7/r6), clearance fit with the shaft (d9), radial runout ≤0.05 mm. Compatible Machine Models and Assemblies:
Compatible Parts: Matches CAT 077-4855 bearings and 077-5061 retainers for heavy-duty shaft systems such as gearbox input shafts, hydraulic motor output shafts, and drive axle half-shafts, isolating the shaft from the housing bore and compensating for assembly clearances.
Compatible Equipment: CAT 349D2/352 excavators, 988K loaders, D8T bulldozers, etc., suitable for rotating shaft systems under heavy-duty conditions, preventing direct friction between the shaft and the housing.
Installation: One piece per shaft, cold-pressed into the housing bore, end face flush with the housing bore, no fasteners required. After installation, the clearance between the shaft and bushing is 0.06-0.12 mm.
Installation and Maintenance Points:
Clean the seat bore and shaft surface. Check the bushing for cracks, porosity, and dimensional errors. Ensure the end face is smooth and burr-free.
Apply pressure evenly to the end face using a dedicated pressing tool. Do not strike the side. Ensure the bushing and seat bore are coaxial and that there is no misalignment after installation.
After installation, check that the radial runout is ≤0.05 mm, the shaft rotates smoothly without jamming or abnormal noise, and the clearance meets specifications.
Maintenance: Check for wear every 2000 hours. Replace the bushing if the inner diameter wear exceeds 0.25 mm or if scratches/peeling appear on the surface to prevent shaft failure.
