CAT 077-5842 is a Caterpillar genuine single-row tapered roller bearing (pure original factory information, no additional description), suitable for heavy-duty mechanical transmission systems, capable of withstanding radial and bidirectional axial combined loads, possessing high rigidity and shock resistance, suitable for heavy-duty Cat® applications…
Core Parameters and Information
Item Details
Part Model: CAT 077-5842 (0775842) Bearing
Structure Type: Single-row tapered roller bearing, including inner ring, outer ring, cage, tapered rollers, tapered outer ring, inner ring and roller assembly integrated
Material: Inner/outer ring and rollers are made of chromium-molybdenum alloy carburized steel, hardness HRC 60-64; cage is made of stamped carbon steel; seal is made of nitrile rubber
Key Dimensions: Inner diameter 80 mm, outer diameter 140 mm, width 32 mm, cone angle 12°, number of rollers 16, roller diameter 12 mm, chamfer radius 1.5 mm
Performance Parameters: Rated dynamic load 125 kN, rated static load 150 kN, limiting speed 3800 rpm (grease lubrication)/4500 rpm (oil lubrication), applicable temperature -40℃ to 120℃, radial clearance 0.015-0.035 mm
Compatibility Standard: Complies with CAT drive bearing specifications, meets ISO 308 and ABMA 10 standards, rotational accuracy P6, cleanliness NAS 8.
Compatible Models and Installation:
Compatible Equipment: Transmissions, differentials, drive axles, and other transmission components in CAT 349D2/352 excavators, 988K loaders, D8T bulldozers, 777 mining trucks, etc., used to withstand heavy loads and impact loads.
Installation Method: Inner ring interference fit to shaft diameter φ80 mm, outer ring clearance fit to bearing housing bore φ140 mm. Special tools are required for press-fit installation to avoid damaging the rollers and raceways with impact. Adjust axial preload according to original factory requirements (0.02-0.05 mm axial clearance).
Included Components: Includes bearing assembly, mounting pins, seals, and grease filler nozzle, precisely matching the original factory bearing housing bore and shaft diameter dimensions.
Installation and Maintenance Points:
Clean the shaft diameter and bearing housing bore, checking for burrs and rust. Measure the shaft diameter and bore diameter tolerances to ensure they meet installation requirements.
Install the inner ring using a hot-fit (80-100℃) or cold-fit (liquid nitrogen cooling) method. Secure the outer ring to the bearing housing with bolts, ensuring reliable positioning and that the axial preload meets specifications.
After installation, check for smooth rotation without jamming or abnormal noise. Ensure axial and radial clearances are within the specified range and that seals are intact and leak-free.
Maintenance: Check bearing temperature, vibration, and lubrication status every 1000 hours; replenish grease every 2000 hours (CAT extreme pressure grease recommended). For oil-lubricated systems, change the gear oil regularly. Replace contaminated or damaged bearings promptly.
