CAT 082-0525 (0820525) is a Caterpillar original equipment manufacturer (OEM) high-strength, wear-resistant return slider for construction machinery. It is compatible with 307E2/308E2 excavators and 242D/246D skid steer loaders, used in hydraulic cylinders and boom/stick linkage mechanisms to achieve precise return of components after reciprocating motion, absorb impact, compensate for clearances, ensure smooth operation, and prevent jamming and uneven wear.
Core Parameters and Information
Item Details
Part Model: CAT 082-0525 (0820525) Reset Slider
Type: Reset guide for reciprocating mechanisms in construction machinery, wear-resistant guide type
Material: 40Cr alloy steel + nylon composite layer, surface hardened + nitrided treatment
Key Dimensions: Length 150mm, Width 60mm, Height 45mm, Guide groove width 25mm, Mounting holes φ18mm×2
Performance Parameters: Coefficient of friction ≤0.15, Tensile strength ≥900MPa, Working temperature -40℃ to +120℃, Suitable impact load ≤80kN
Compatible Models: 307E2/308E2 excavators, 242D/246D skid steer loaders
Matching Relationship: Matched with reset springs, guide shafts, and bolts, used for positioning and resetting the reciprocating motion of the mechanism
Applications and Compatibility
Compatible Parts: 307E2/308E2 excavator boom – The boom linkage reset mechanism and hydraulic cylinder stroke limiter; 242D/246D skid steer loader bucket linkage reset assembly guides and restricts component movement trajectory, compensates for wear clearances, and achieves precise reset (Cat).
Application Scenarios: Suitable for reciprocating impact conditions such as excavation and loading, including boom raising and lowering, and bucket retraction and extension. It absorbs vibration and impact, prevents component movement jamming and uneven wear, ensures smooth operation, and extends the service life of the mechanism.
Compatible with: Uses with reset springs, guide shafts, and M16×50 bolts. The springs provide reset preload, and the slider guides and positions, forming a stable reset system suitable for high-frequency reciprocating conditions.
Installation and Maintenance Points:
Installation: Clean the mounting surface and slider surface. After positioning, insert the bolts and tighten symmetrically to a torque of 60 N·m. Check the fit between the slider and the guide groove; the gap should be ≤0.2 mm, movement should be smooth, and the reset spring preload should meet specifications.
Maintenance: Check slider wear and spring elasticity every 300 hours. Replace immediately if slider wear exceeds 0.5mm or surface cracks appear. Regularly apply lithium-based grease to reduce friction and wear.
Replacement: Disassemble old parts to check guide groove wear; repair any parts exceeding tolerances. Before installing new parts, check dimensions and surface quality to ensure no deformation or cracks, and that guide grooves are smooth and burr-free.
