CAT 094-8835 (0948835) is a dedicated axial retainer for Caterpillar hydraulic pump/slewing motor bearing cavities. It is used to lock the spring base to the bearing assembly, and is suitable for large equipment such as 349/352/374 excavators and 982/988 loaders, preventing axial movement and radial displacement, ensuring stable preload and reliable sealing.
Core Parameters
Item Details
Part Model: CAT 094-8835 (0948835) Axial Fixture
Type: Axial locking fixture for bearing cavity, anti-movement, pre-tightening, vibration reduction
Material: 42CrMo alloy steel, tempered + blackened surface oxidation + galvanized, hardness HRC38-42, tensile strength ≥1080MPa, impact resistant, corrosion resistant
Key Dimensions: Inner diameter approx. 185mm, outer diameter approx. 215mm, thickness approx. 32mm, bolt hole distribution circle diameter approx. 195mm, single weight approx. 4.0kg
Compatible Models: CAT 349, 352, 374 excavators, 982, 988 loaders, hydraulic pumps and swing motors compatible with C13/C15 engines
Matching Relationships Matching spring base (094-8233), retainer (094-8432/094-8572/094-8614), and lower retaining ring (094-7732), 1-2 units per component, axial positioning and locking.
Suitable for: Front end of hydraulic pump bearing cavity, rotary motor bearing housing; locks the bearing outer ring and spring base, preventing axial movement and radial displacement, ensuring stable preload and sealing effect, and preventing oil leakage and bearing wear.
Application scenarios: Suitable for severe vibration conditions such as mining and large-scale earthmoving operations; compatible with large equipment power systems, improving bearing life and operational stability.
Core functions: Provides high-strength axial locking, counteracts impact loads, prevents axial movement and radial displacement of the bearing, protects seals and spring base, extends component life, and reduces maintenance frequency.
Installation and Maintenance Points
Installation: Clean the mounting surface and threaded holes. Apply CAT-specific anti-loosening adhesive. Tighten in 2-3 steps diagonally to the specified torque (approximately 500-550 N·m), ensuring a tight fit without gaps. After fixing, check for axial movement and radial displacement.
Maintenance: Check the tightness and coating integrity every 300 hours. If loose, immediately retighten and reapply anti-loosening adhesive. Regularly check for abnormal noises and temperatures in related components; disassemble and repair if abnormalities are found.
Replacement: Prioritize original parts. Verify the model and dimensions. After installation, test the power system to ensure it operates normally, without abnormal noises, leaks, or loosening.
