CAT 095-4313 (0954313) is a track retainer for the Caterpillar 400GT tracked chassis. It is compatible with heavy-duty equipment such as 349/352/374 excavators and 982/988 loaders. Installed at the axial positioning point between the track tension spring base and the spring assembly, it works in conjunction with the 095-4213/095-4216 spring base. It is used to lock the tension spring, limit axial movement, and transmit tension force, and is a core positioning component of the track tensioning mechanism (Cat® Parts).

Item Details
Part Model CAT 095-4313 (0954313) Track Recoil Spring Retainer
Type Track tensioning mechanism positioning and fixing part, with flange and positioning groove, compatible with 400GT track tension spring assembly, used with 095-4213/095-4216 spring base and 095-3812 track link
Material 42CrMo alloy steel, integral forging + tempering heat treatment (hardness HRC34-38), surface Caterpillar yellow primer + wear-resistant coating, resistant to heavy-duty impact, fatigue resistance, and corrosion resistance
Dimensions and Weight Compatible with 400GT track tension spring, outer diameter approx. 160-180mm, flange diameter approx. 200-220mm, thickness approx. 30-40mm, single weight approx. 8-10kg, precise matching of spring outer diameter with positioning groove.
Compatible with CAT 349, 352, 374 excavators, 982, 988 loaders, and other 400GT tracked chassis equipment. Matches 095-3609 oil seal retainer ring and 095-4213/095-4216 spring base.
Functional Positioning: Locks the track tension spring, restricts axial movement, transmits tension force, and works with the spring base to position the spring compression stroke, ensuring stable track tension and cushioning.
Adaptation and Application:
Applicable Location: Front positioning point of the track tension spring assembly. Bolted to the spring base flange face, locking the spring’s axial position. Works with the base to position the spring compression stroke, transmitting tension force to the track links and maintaining stable track tension (Cat® Parts).
Application Scenarios: Suitable for heavy-duty applications such as mining and infrastructure construction. It withstands the impact and vibration of tracked vehicles, prevents tensioning mechanism failure due to spring slippage, avoids abnormal wear of chain links and track rollers caused by excessively loose or tight tracks, and ensures stable operation of the track system.
Core Functions: Locks the spring, limits axial movement, transmits tension force, coordinates with the base to position the spring travel, buffers impacts, protects chassis components, and extends the service life of the track system.
Installation and Maintenance Points:
Installation: Clean the connecting surfaces and tighten the bolts to the original torque of 350-400 N·m; check the matching degree between the positioning groove and the spring to ensure no axial movement of the spring and that the track tension meets the requirements of the equipment manual.
Maintenance Cycle: Check for deformation, cracks, and bolt torque of the retainer every 500 hours; shorten to 200 hours for harsh conditions such as mining.
Replacement criteria: Replacement is necessary when cracks, deformation, wear of the positioning groove, or inability to lock the spring/transmit tension. Original parts should be preferred to avoid tension failure and misalignment due to size/strength issues.
