CAT 095-7124 (0957124) is a sliding shoe for the track tensioning cylinder of the Caterpillar 760GT tracked chassis. It is compatible with 760GT tracked chassis models such as the 395/390/374/352/349 excavators and 988/982 loaders. Its core function is to work in conjunction with the tensioning cylinder piston, smoothly sliding along the guide cylinder during track tensioning/buffering. It transmits tension force and buffers impact, while simultaneously sealing the guide to prevent dust intrusion. It is a key sliding transmission component of the track tensioning mechanism (Cat® Parts).

Item Details
Part Model CAT 095-7124 (0957124) 760GT Sliding Shoe

Type: Sliding shoe for track tensioning cylinders, compatible with 760GT track tensioning system, and compatible with pistons and seals

Material: 42CrMo alloy steel, overall tempering + surface nitriding treatment (layer depth 0.3-0.5mm, hardness HV900-1100), tensile strength ≥1080MPa, suitable for operating conditions from -40℃ to 120℃

Key Dimensions: Friction surface width approx. 80-90mm, length approx. 150-160mm, thickness approx. 30-35mm, guide groove width approx. 20-22mm, sealing groove depth approx. 5-6mm, clearance with guide cylinder ≤0.08mm

Compatible Models: CAT 760GT Tracked Chassis Equipment (Excavators 395, 390, 374, 352, 349, Loaders 988, 982, etc.)

Functional Positioning: Transmits tension force, buffers track impact, slides along the guide cylinder and seals to prevent dust intrusion, ensuring stable tension force transmission.

Adaptation and Application:

Applicable Parts: Installed at the front end of the track tensioning cylinder piston, cooperating with the guide cylinder, seals, bearing caps (095-6768/095-6769), etc., sliding along the guide cylinder during track tensioning or buffering to transmit tension force and buffer ground impact.

Application Scenarios: Heavy-duty, high-frequency working conditions such as mining and infrastructure construction, bearing track tension force and impact loads, preventing tensioning cylinder jamming and seal failure, preventing excessively loose/tight tracks and track deviation.

Core Functions: Sliding guide, tension force transmission, impact buffering, auxiliary sealing, extending the life of cylinders and seals, reducing maintenance frequency.

Installation and Maintenance Points

Installation: Clean the friction surfaces of the sliding shoe and the guide cylinder. After installing the seals, apply grease to ensure the sliding shoe and guide cylinder are installed parallel with uniform clearance. Tighten the bolts to approximately 60-80 N·m to avoid uneven wear.

Maintenance Cycle: Inspect the sliding shoe for wear, deformation, and cracks every 1000 hours. In harsh environments such as mining, this interval should be shortened to 500 hours.

Replacement Standard: The sliding shoe must be replaced when the wear depth of the friction surface is >0.5mm, the deformation is >0.2mm, or cracks appear. Original parts are preferred to avoid dimensional/material deviations that could lead to sliding jamming or seal failure.
