CAT 095-9380 (0959380) is a track tension cylinder recoil spring seat adapted for the 760GT tracked chassis. It features a stepped ring structure and works in conjunction with the 095-8510 retainer, 095-8076 spring base, 095-7947 retainer ring, and 095-8931 ball bearing. It provides radial positioning and axial load bearing for the track tension cylinder buffer spring, and is compatible with models such as the 395/374/352/349 excavators and 988/982 loaders, ensuring stable operation of the track tensioning system.

Compatible Models CAT 349, 352, 374, 395 Excavators; 982, 988 loaders (760GT tracked chassis configuration)
Functional Positioning: Radial positioning buffer spring; axial load bearing spring force; works with the 095-8510 retainer to limit the radial displacement of the spring; works with the 095-8076 spring base to transmit tension force; protects the tension cylinder seals and guide cylinder.
Adaptation and Application:
Installation Position: Inside the guide cylinder of the track tension cylinder, located between the buffer spring and the 095-8076 spring base. The inner ring guide shoulder is embedded in the inner diameter of the spring, and the outer ring positioning flange fits against the end face of the 095-8510 retainer. The axial position is locked by the 095-7947 retainer to prevent radial displacement and axial movement of the spring.
Application Scenarios: Suitable for heavy-duty, high-frequency impact applications such as mining and infrastructure construction. It withstands the axial load and vibration of the spring, adapts to the dynamic load during track tensioning/buffering, and prevents spring misalignment from causing damage to cylinder seals, track tension fluctuations, and track deviation.
Core Functions: A radially positioned buffer spring that axially bears and transmits tension force. Working in conjunction with the retainer, base, buckle, and bearings, it ensures the installation accuracy and stability of tensioning system components and extends the service life of cylinders, springs, and other components.
Installation and Maintenance Points:
Installation: Clean the guide cylinder, spring seat, spring base, and retainer mounting surfaces, removing oil, rust, and impurities. Check the shoulder and flange for damage.
Installate the spring seat into the guide cylinder, with the inner guide shoulder facing the buffer spring. Place the buffer spring in, ensuring a tight fit between the spring’s inner diameter and the guide shoulder. Install the 095-8076 spring base, and install the 095-8510 retainer and 095-7947 buckle for locking. Check for looseness and misalignment.
Start the machine to test the extension and retraction of the tension cylinder, check that the spring seat makes no abnormal noise and that the tension force is stable.
Maintenance Cycle: Under standard operating conditions, check the spring seat for wear, the positioning flange for deformation, and the clearance between the spring and the retainer every 1000 hours; for mining operating conditions, shorten this to 500 hours. Address any abnormalities immediately.
Replacement Criteria: Replace the spring seat if the shoulder wear is >1.5mm, the positioning flange is deformed/broken, there are surface cracks, the clearance between the spring and the retainer is >0.8mm, or the spring cannot be positioned after installation. Use original parts first to avoid dimensional deviations that could cause spring misalignment or cylinder damage.
