CAT 095-9570 (0959570) is a dust cover for the track tensioner cylinder of the 760GT tracked chassis. It features a cup-shaped design with a flange and dust lip, and is compatible with models such as the 349/352/374/395 excavators and 982/988 loaders. Installed on the outside of the 095-9543 end cover, it prevents mud, gravel, and other impurities from entering the tensioner cylinder, protecting the internal components: the 095-8931 bearing, 095-9380 spring seat, 095-9416 retainer, and 095-7947 retainer. It is suitable for heavy-duty, dusty working conditions such as mining and construction.

Core Parameter Table

Item Details
Part Model CAT 095-9570 (0959570) Dust Cover (760GT Track Tensioning Cylinder Dedicated)

Structure Type Bowl-shaped with outward-flaring flange, inner ring with dust lip and positioning groove, flange with 4 evenly distributed bolt holes, compatible with 095-9543 end cap mounting surface, dust lip fits the piston rod surface

Material Q235B carbon structural steel, stamped and powder coated, tensile strength ≥370MPa, suitable for -40℃ to 120℃ working conditions, vibration and deformation resistant

Key Dimensions Inner diameter approx. 95-100mm, outer diameter approx. 150-160mm, flange thickness approx. 6-8mm, total height approx. 30-35mm, dust lip inner diameter approx. 85-90mm, bolt hole diameter approx. 18-20mm, compatible with 095-9543 End Cover Mounting Holes

Compatible Models: CAT 349, 352, 374, 395 excavators; 982, 988 loaders (760GT tracked chassis configuration)

Function: Level 2 dust and water protection, preventing mud/gravel/dust from entering the tensioning cylinder end cover, protecting internal seals and moving parts, and extending the life of core components such as the end cover, bearings, and spring seats.

Applications:
Installation Location: The outermost part of the track tensioning cylinder, fixed to the 095-9543 end cover flange face with 4 bolts. The dustproof lip fits against the outer circle of the piston rod, forming a radial seal, working in conjunction with the end cover O-ring to achieve double protection.

Application Scenarios: Dusty/muddy working conditions such as mining stripping, rock crushing, and tunnel excavation; withstands vibration and impact, preventing impurities from entering the cylinder and causing seal failure and component wear; suitable for high-intensity working environments.

Core Function: As the “first line of defense” for the tensioning cylinder, the dust lip scrapes away dirt/dust adhering to the piston rod surface, the flange seal blocks external splashes, and together with the 095-9543 end cap, achieves full-enclosure protection, ensuring stable operation of the track tensioning system.

Installation and Maintenance Points

Installation: Clean the flange face of the 095-9543 end cap and the positioning groove of the 095-9570 dust cover. Check that the dust lip is undamaged. Tighten the bolts symmetrically to a torque of 200-250 N·m, ensuring a tight fit between the flange faces and no interference between the dust lip and the piston rod.

Test the extension and retraction of the tensioning cylinder. Check that the dust cover is free from jamming and abnormal noise, that the dust lip and piston rod are tightly fitted, and that no impurities leak to the end cap side.

Maintenance Cycle: Under standard operating conditions, check the tightness of the dust cover bolts and the aging/damage of the dust cover lip every 800 hours; under mining operating conditions, shorten this to 400 hours, promptly replacing aged dust covers and tightening loose bolts.

Replacement Standards: Dust cover failure must be addressed when cracks/wear >2mm on the dust cover lip, flange deformation >1mm, stripped bolt holes, or damage to the positioning groove. Original parts should be prioritized to avoid dimensional deviations that could lead to impurities entering and contaminating internal components.
