CAT 095-9732 (0959732) is the main compression spring for the track tensioning cylinder of the 760GT tracked chassis. It features a large-diameter, multi-turn helical compression structure and is compatible with models such as the 349/352/374/395 excavators and the 982/988 loaders. Installed between the 095-9380 spring seat and the 095-9643/095-9665 retainer, it provides stable preload for track tensioning, absorbs impact loads from travel, and maintains stable track tension. It is suitable for heavy-duty, high-frequency vibration conditions in mining, infrastructure, and other similar applications.

Item Details
Part Model CAT 095-9732 (0959732) Track Tensioning Cylinder Main Compression Spring (760GT Track Chassis Dedicated)
Structure Type Large diameter helical compression spring, both ends ground flat, buffer gap reserved between coils, compatible with 095-9380 spring seat and 095-9643/095-9665 retainer
Material 60Si2MnA chromium silicon spring steel, hot rolled + quenched and tempered + shot peening strengthened, tensile strength ≥1275MPa, elastic modulus 206GPa, suitable for -40℃ to 150℃ working conditions
Key Dimensions Wire diameter approx. 28mm, inner diameter approx. 90mm, outer diameter approx. 146mm, free length approx. 480mm, effective number of coils approx. 8, total number of coils approx. 10, rated compression stroke approx. 120mm
Rated Load Preload: Approximately 180kN; Maximum working load: Approximately 320kN; Compression height: Approximately 280mm; Stiffness coefficient: Approximately 1500N/mm. Compatible models: CAT 349, 352, 374, 395 excavators; 982, 988 loaders (760GT tracked chassis configuration).
Functional positioning: Provides track tension preload, absorbs impact loads from travel, compensates for track wear elongation, maintains stable track tension, and protects the tensioning cylinder and chassis structure.
Compatibility and application:
Installation location: Inside the track tensioning cylinder, nested within the 095-9380 spring seat. Both ends are tightened against the spring seat and the 095-9643/095-9665 retainer, respectively. The preload is locked through the retainer, the 095-9543 end cap, and the 095-7947 retainer, forming a closed loop for tension transmission.
Application Scenarios: Suitable for heavy-duty operations such as mining stripping, rock crushing, and tunnel excavation. It withstands high-frequency impacts and alternating loads during track movement, compensates for tension loss due to track pitch wear, prevents track derailment and tooth skipping, and is suitable for high-intensity working environments.
Core Functions: Provides stable preload, absorbs impact loads, compensates for track wear elongation, maintains stable track tension, reduces fatigue damage to the tensioning system, and extends the service life of track and undercarriage components.
